2017.18 Summer Referee News
Mandurah Basketball Association will be offering Domestic Referee Training Sessions for ALL Referees intending to Officiate during our Summer 2017/18 Season.
The sessions will be delivered by Tony Easson and will cover the following topics:
- MBA Referee Expectations and Rostering Process
- New Rule Updates and Overview of MBA Junior Competition Guidelines
- Training and Development Opportunities
Attendance is compulsory for Referees with the following dates and times set:
Tuesday 10 October 2017 for LEVEL 0 REFEREES. Held at Halls Head Recreation Centre between 4:30pm and 5:30pm
Wednesday 11 October 2017 for DEVELOPMENT REFEREES. Held at Halls Head Recreation Centre between 7:00pm and 8:00pm
Sunday 15 October 2017 for SHADOW and LEVEL 0 BEGINNER REFEREES. Held at MARC between 9:30am and 10:30am
Sunday 15 October 2017 for WABL REFEREES and REFEREE SUPERVISORS. Held at MARC between 11:00am and 12:30pm
If you are unsure which category you fall into please ask, as attendance is compulsory.
Please RSVP your attendance to Angela on development@mandurahmagic.com.au and bring with you a notebook, pen, water bottle and be dresses able to participate in activities.
MBA is also offering a Green Shirt/ Beginner Referee Course for anyone keen to commence their foray into the world of officiating. Places on the course are strictly limited to the first 20 participants to complete a registration form and pay! Course cost is $75 and includes:
- Course Workbook
- Official Rule Book
- Whistle
- Green Shirt (ordered on the day)
Please note priority and preference is given to participants aged 12 years and over. To register please download a form and then either visit MBA offices to pay the registration fee, or call Angela on 95347908.
