QBL Games - Under 23 Mens Game added to Schedule for Saturday 26th July

Rockhampton Basketball will also host an Under 23 Men's game against Mackay at this week's QBL Game. The McDonald's Rockets and Frenchville Sportsclub Cyclones match up against the Mackay Meteor and Meteorettes at Hegvold Stadium on Saturday night. The Under 23's tip off at 4.00pm, the Cyclones tip off at 6.00pm and the Rockets tip off at 8.00pm.more

Try outs for the Under 18 Girls Representative team are being held this Saturday 12th July, 09:30 - 11:00 am at Hegvold Stadium.
All Under 18 Girls interested in practicing and trialling for the 2015 Under 18 Representative Team are encouraged to attend.

Rep Skills Development Sessions

There is a 6 Session skills block scheduled for July/August for Under 12, 14 and 16 age groups. These sessions will be conducted by Rep Coordinators Paul Christensen and Gayle Lorraway with assistance from other Representative coaches. Please read the attached flyer for further information. RBI will be hosting an All-American Basketball Camp during the school holidays on Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July. Rockets and Cyclones American Imports, Ray Turner, Chehales Tapscott, Iasia Hemingway and Chandrea Jones will provide their expertise in coaching the participants over 2 fun-filled days of skills, drills and competition! Winter 2014 Registration Reminder

Rockhampton Basketball will be well represented in the Queensland U16 State Team this year after 4 boys (Damon and Leon Christensen, Malachi Shanahan and Sheldon Whitworth) and 2 girls (Briana Bailey & Kaitlyn Hill) were named at the completion of the U16 State Championships held in Rockhampton and Cairns last week. A further two Rockhampton boys (Bailey Meyers & Nick Magnussen) were named as emergencies and selected to the Emerging QLD teams while Anna Dyer was also selected to the Emerging QLD team.more

Courts 1 & 2 Re-named

On Tuesday 23rd October RBI held a small function for the re-naming of our two courts constructed in 2010.
After due consideration, this honour has been bestowed upon two members, who deserved it above all others due to their tireless efforts to support RBI and its members. This support has helped to create a club which is now strong and vibrant and possesses wonderful facilities which can be enjoyed not only by its members but the community as a whole.
