Quarter Finals schedule released

The State Basketball League has officially hit finals mode as the 2012 quarter finals schedule is released for the best of three series to be played over the next two weekends.

After a tumultuous final weekend of action that saw the men’s top eight decided in the final seconds of the last game, the SBL now hits overdrive heading towards the Kickz101 State Basketball League Grand Finals on Friday 31 August (women) and Saturday 1 September (men).

The quarter finals format will see the higher ranked team receive home court advantage and play games two and three at their home venue with the lower ranked team playing game one at their home venue.

All game ones will be played this weekend on either Friday 3 August or Saturday 4 August with games two and three, if necessary, to be played on Friday 10, Saturday 11 or Sunday 12 of August.

Three clubs are hosting both women’s and men’s games together due to finishing in the same half of the draw, for all other clubs with both men and women in the finals the league has tried to avoid clashes, where possible, with games on separate days or friendly times for fans to split their time between venues.

Tickets to all of the quarter finals and semi-finals are available on the door at the venue on game nights.

The full schedule, including potential game threes (only played if necessary), is available in the Fixtures/Resultsmenu with 91.3 SportFM radio broadcasts to be announced separately.

The match-ups are:

Women
Wanneroo (1) v East Perth (8)
Willetton (2) v Lakeside (7)
South West (3) v Perth (6)
Rockingham (4) v Kalamunda (5)

Men
