Level 1 Referees Courses

Level 1 Badge

WTA will be running two Level 1 Referee courses in August in preparation for our upcoming Touch seasons.

The courses will be held on Saturday 22nd August and Sunday 30th August and will run from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. The courses are complimentary and will be held at the WTA Clubrooms at Jubilee Park.

Just to be clear, these are two separate, individual courses. You will only need to attend one to come away with a Level 1 Referee qualification. Duty Refs need this qualification to fulfill their duty.

This course is specifically aimed at our shortly commencing Junior competition in which all teams need to supply a Duty Ref.

We are responding to feedback from last years comp where we had many comments seeking good, consistent refereeing.

BEFORE undertaking the Course you will need to complete the "Introductory Level Officiating General Principals" online learning module on the Australian Sports Commission website. https://learning.ausport.gov.au/auth/login/?returnUrl=%2F.

After completing the module please print out a certificate and bring it to our course.

Please come along and learn more about the game.

PS If your not planning on Reffing in the Junior comp but would still like to do the course, please come along. However, we will have other courses before the Mixed Comp starts.

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
