The 2024 13 to 16 years state championship will be conducted in the Peninsula Region, from May 9 to May 12 in Cairns at the Cairns Basketball Stadium. It's the perfect place to be as the weather gets cooler!

The 2024 17 - 19 years state championship will be held in the Northern Region. The championship dates are May 23 to 26. The venue will be the Townsville Basketball Stadium in Townsville.

The 2024 10 to 12 years state championship will be conducted in the Capricornia Region, from June 6 to June 9 in Rockhampton at the Rockhampton Basketball Stadium.

Queensland schools are invited each year to nominate to participate in the Champion Basketball School of Queensland (CBSQ) conducted by Basketball Qld. BQ also conducts other events for schools: Regional CBSQ events, CBSQ Junior Secondary, CBSQ Sophomore and CBSQ Primary 3 on 3 competition.

The teams that win the championship division of the boys and girls divisions of the Champion Basketball School of Qld Open competition (CBSQ) will be invited to represent Qld in the championship division of the Australian Schools Championship.
