2013 NSWRLRA Calls for Committee Members

     

The Board of Directors of the N.S.W. Rugby League Referee’s Association is seeking applications from members for the following positions:-

 

Affiliate Liaison Committee Members

 

The role of the Committee will be to act as the initial contact between the affiliate Associations and the NSWRLRA. The Committee will be required to implement a range of support and communications programs for our Affiliates. Such initiatives may include attendance at Affiliate Association Meetings, assistance with the organisation of the Annual Conference, organising President/Secretary's & Delegates Meetings and assistance to Delegates at NSWRLRA Meetings. The committee will be required to work with other NSWRLRA Sub Committees in producing a newsletter, providing coaching & development activities, negotiating istrict match fees and sponsorship grants etc. on behalf of Affiliate Associations

Marketing & Communication Committee Members

 

The role of the committee will be to assist the Marketing & Communication (M&C) Director with enhancing and promoting the goals and achievements of the Association, both within the Association and externally. Some of the duties of the M&C Committee will include (but will not be limited to):-

 Develop marketing plans, contributing to and/or editing marketing resources such as the Association web site or Newsletters and other roles as necessitated by future marketing programs, Board of Directors or other influences.

 

Archives Committee

The role of the Committee is to examine process, classify and catalogue the Association’s records that cover the past 104 years.

Member Services Committee Members

 

Social Committee

The role of the Committee will be to assist with the organisation and conduct of social functions and to seek ideas

from members re possible new social activities that could be held and to evaluate those currently on the social

 calendar.

 

Peer Support and Welfare Committee

The role of the Committee will be to provide advice, support and counselling to members who experience bereavement, illness, injury , referee career disappointments or other issues of personal or career nature. Members of this Committee will also be involved in the conduct of the Widows’ Luncheon.

Finance Committee Members

Workplace Relations (fees) Committee

 

The role of the Committee will be to provide advocacy services for match fees, provisions, conditions etc; and to act as a sounding board for members to air any grievances they may have.

A minimum of two (2) Active Graded members is required for this Committee.

 

Sponsorship Committee

 

The role of the Sponsorship Committee is to act in co-operation with the ARLC to identify and to  negotiate with potential sponsors for  all clsasses of  membership of the Association and to seek sponsors for Association events such as the Les Matthews Memorial Golf Day .

Referee Development Committee

NSWRL Coaching & Development Policy Committee

This Committee member has the responsibility to monitor and report on various coaching and development programs of the NSWRL. This Committee meets 4-6 times per year

Seminar Committee

 

The role of the Committee is to assist with the planning , organisation and conduct of any seminar or course initiated by the Association or conducted on behalf of the Australian Rugby League Referees’ Association  or other approved League body.

Women and Girls Development Committee

 

The role of the Committee is to address issues that are specific to the needs of female members of the Association and Affiliated District Associations, especially those who are Active Referees. Applicants for membership of the Committee should preferably be female but applications are not gender restricted.
