U10 BOYS St Clair Carnival - 1st Place Winners

Eastern Mavericks U10 BOYS  -  St Clair Carnival Dec 2012

Recently the u10 boys’ team entered the St Clair Christmas Carnival, where they competed in the second division against other district and representative clubs.

The team played 4 games in the preliminary rounds of the carnival against Willunga, Forestville, West Adelaide, and Woodville. In each game the boys played good team basketball and reached the goals set by the coach. They were very successful, winning each minor round game, and qualified for the final at the top of the ladder.

In the Grand Final, the boys started strongly and established a good early lead against West Adelaide. They played strong defence and converted many turnovers into scores to take command of the game early. The team always looked in control of the game, with players combining well and each player contributing positively. The Mavericks won the game convincingly, 30-10.

Pleasingly, by the end of the carnival, each of the 8 players had scored
