 NETBALL HUTT VALLEY CENTRE

NETBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (20-25 HOURS PER WEEK)

Netball Hutt Valley Centre are now recruiting a Netball Development Officer to
develop and implement the Netball Development Programme for Netball Hutt Valley Centre. This will be done using a planned approach to netball development. The Netball Development Programme will:

  • Improve quality of coaching delivered to players of all levels;
  • Improve the skill levels of players within the Centre;
  • Improve the level of umpires in the Centre;
  • Improve the level of bench officials in the Centre;
  • Provide a Talent Identification Programme for players, coaches, managers, umpires and bench officials

To secure this position, you'll have broad sporting sector knowledge, experience and extensive knowledge of coach development as well as experience in training development, teaching and/or coaching. You willbe a skilled communicator, highly organised, well planned and reliable with the ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary. The ability to relate to and work closely with other Netball personnel, players, coaches and teachers in the netball community is essential. Other competencies preferred are netball coaching knowledge particularly in junior netball, decisiveness, showing initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.

It will be important for you to have a strong understanding of Community Netball and the Netball Development Officer network. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship skills as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
