2016 NWC Emerging Talent Programme Squad named

NWC along with the support of WCC, Sport Wellington, HPSNZ and Les Mills have introduced a 2016 Emerging Talent Programme for 12 of their young players. These players have been selected through the Talent ID programme and meet the long term goals we have set for this programme.

It is exciting that we can offer such a programme to these young players. In the past the Centre has had programmes for players aiming for the National Championships level and with the change in the structure it provided the opportunity for the Centre to align themselves with the NCZ and NNZ player development pathway.

The Centre sees this as a long term programme that will provide players with a strong foundation and understanding towards that next step in their netball. This foundation work is a stepping stone for players to transition onto the NCZ &/or NNZ programmes within the next 2-3 years and  reaching NZSS or NZU21s in the next 3-5 years. When players transition off the Emerging Talent Programme new players will be introduced.

We are looking forward to working with this group of 12 players and our supporters WCC, Sport Wellington, HPSNZ and Les Mills.

Congratulations and welome to the following girls for the 2016 programme:
