All interested umpires are invited to attend the following two pre-season workshops:
Umpires session - Fitness for the season
Tuesday 26th March 2013 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Hataitai Netball Pavilion
What is fitness all about?
- How fit do I need to be?
- Where do I start?
- Do I need to belong to a gym?
- What should I be doing?
- How often should I be doing it?
- What things do I need to consider?
- Do I need a training buddy?
This workshop will provide you with the tools and techniques you need to get yourself started and for setting up a plan for the coming season. Make sure you wear sports shoes.

Umpires session – Mental Toughness and Life Balance

Does Umpiring stress you out or make you happy?
Do you have a good work, sport, social, and home life balance happening?
Come along and find out:
- Why a 50₵ coin can give you so much relief
- What your triggers are
- How to handle stressful situations
- Why it is important to have a good balance in your life
- Why it is ok to feel guilty and how you handle that guilt
This workshop was very thought provoking and fun last year so we have decided to run it again. Come along and drop those shoulders a good inch or so, relax, learn and have fun along the way.
