Canberra are having their kick off meeting for the year on 23rd - 24th  February

It was known to all as the Kings and Queens event but has undergone a name change now being ACT Long Track Challenge.

Canberra MCC has made an invitation to Penrith club which I have accepted which makes things a little easier for us to ride in it.

These guys support us where they can so let's get our year off to a two-day start and get a few of us down there to wave the Penrith flag

I will be getting there Friday night and camping Friday - Saturday night (which was a great success last year) for some early season bonding and drinks around the fire etc.

There is prize money on some classes for this event as you will see and they have been able to get someone for the canteen for that weekend.

Like all of our meetings now, it is pre-entry only so best to get them in sooner than later'

Any questions may like to be directed to:

Competitors must pre enter via: or Post.

Entry forms available on the Club’s website

….. or in some cases like who is going etc. to myself. (Roy 0418461189)

Re the Sydney Dirt tTrack series, entry forms will be sent out soon and there will be provision to enter for the 3 rounds upfront for those die hards who know they will want to ride all 3 rounds and get there spots secured on the grid.

One thing not mentioned was that all heats and finals will be 3.5 laps

So far i have had a great response to the new format with one member boasting that with 2 bikes he can get 8 rides!

But, of course, change doesn’t always suit everyone and I have 2 classes which have been combined at present due to previous low numbers being the pre 75 125 and pre 70 class which is now combined and has affected a couple of members. So if there are enough guys/girls out there who wish to ride these classes I need to hear from at least 6 of you from each discipline before I can really change anything.

More good news is that some fall out from the Troy Bayliss classic may come our way with some high profile names asking for our dates with a possibility of coming along!

Many thanks Leanne and Lyndel.

I'm sure all would agree that it should be a great day. The track has held up well with all the rain and will be perfect, the pits ...... well we will do our best!

Well once again the late response to the club dirt track meet has been frantic.

Here is the link to the final riders' list from which the programme is being drawn. Please take the time to check that your name is entered where it should be and if not pls get back to me here asap

Many thanks again and upfront to those that made this possible in regard to officials without whom we can not run such a meeting

  • Christine Tickner
  • Leon Sayer
  • Lyndel Butler
  • Leanne Bathurst.

The canteen will be operating from early in the morning. Camping is available on Saturday night

Obviously we will need people on the day to help out with various tasks so if you have anyone that can help out pls bring them along

Dont let the rain scare you, the new surface loves it and remains safe even if it is wet. Plus sunshine is forecast for Sat and Sunday now

Looking forward to another great day at Nepean
