Canberra are having their kick off meeting for the year on 23rd - 24th  February

It was known to all as the Kings and Queens event but has undergone a name change now being ACT Long Track Challenge.

Canberra MCC has made an invitation to Penrith club which I have accepted which makes things a little easier for us to ride in it.

These guys support us where they can so let's get our year off to a two-day start and get a few of us down there to wave the Penrith flag

I will be getting there Friday night and camping Friday - Saturday night (which was a great success last year) for some early season bonding and drinks around the fire etc.

There is prize money on some classes for this event as you will see and they have been able to get someone for the canteen for that weekend.

Like all of our meetings now, it is pre-entry only so best to get them in sooner than later'

Any questions may like to be directed to:

Competitors must pre enter via: or Post.

Entry forms available on the Club’s website

….. or in some cases like who is going etc. to myself. (Roy 0418461189)

Re the Sydney Dirt tTrack series, entry forms will be sent out soon and there will be provision to enter for the 3 rounds upfront for those die hards who know they will want to ride all 3 rounds and get there spots secured on the grid.

One thing not mentioned was that all heats and finals will be 3.5 laps

So far i have had a great response to the new format with one member boasting that with 2 bikes he can get 8 rides!

But, of course, change doesn’t always suit everyone and I have 2 classes which have been combined at present due to previous low numbers being the pre 75 125 and pre 70 class which is now combined and has affected a couple of members. So if there are enough guys/girls out there who wish to ride these classes I need to hear from at least 6 of you from each discipline before I can really change anything.

More good news is that some fall out from the Troy Bayliss classic may come our way with some high profile names asking for our dates with a possibility of coming along!

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.

Just a quick note to make sure you all know that Nov 8 will be the last CPMCC meeting for the year and it is just a rec/fun day and will be run in the same fashion as a practice day would be.

After sign on is complete we will work out the schedule that will give maximum track time for all based on who has turned up.

So no need to pre enter just rock up about 8 00 - 9.00 am sign on, pay fees, membership etc and have some fun.

Please note that if you are not signed on by the time sign on closes at 9.45 you will not be able to participate as there will be no one available to sign you on.

We will still need flaggies so be prepared for that call at riders brief but compared to a race day it will be minimal

The canteen will also be operating for the event
