2nd Junior Development Day

The 2nd of four scheduled Junior Development days leading up to the NSWTA Junior State Cup (JSC) was held at Bark Huts Reserve (Belfield) yesterday 18 November 2012. The purpose of these Development Days is to allow coaches to assess the skills of players, in the various age categories, throughout the course of the Development program. These Development Days will be used as a 'lead-in' to assessing player skills prior to the JSC.

Tony Trad and the coaches of our U/14, U/16 and U/18 teams along with Australian representative players put our junior players through a grid of 'skill' drills in which they were monitored and assessed. It was most pleasing to witness some of the fine young players coming through the Mets junior ranks.

A big thank you is extended to our Junior Coaches who attended yesterday, including; David McDonald, Derek Duguid, Graham Fleming, David Mercer, David Collins, Alan Hill, Nick Stevanovic, Pat Batiste and Grant Bissett. Also a huge thanks to our Australian Representative players who took time out to coach our youth - Trent Touma, Robert Nakhla, Anthony Ziade, Ben Moylan, Nick Good, Jack Buckley and Steve Roberts. Last and definitely not the least a big thanks to Tony Trad. Great effort by all!!!

Please note our next Development Day will be on Sunday 13 January 2013. A letter will be sent to all of our Junior players who have participated in the program to date, inviting them to the event, and informing them of the location.
