Jonathans Race 2013

Jonathans race has been run and won for 2013.   A keen young bunch of cyclists from J11 through to J17 hotly contested the 3 lap handicap. This year it was the back markers who made it home to claim the Jonathan Kuhle Memorial Trophy.  First place went to Adam Jackson, second to Nic Simpson and third was Culum Revell.

The race is held annually in rememberance of our past Jnr rider Jonathan Kuhle who was a proud and supportive member of the Castlemaine Cycling Club. Jonathan died on the road at the age of 14.  Members of his family were present to witness the race and his dad Trevor was on hand to present the perpetual trophy.  In his presentation  to the place getters, Trevor congratulated the young riders on such a hard race and also reinforced the need for safety on the roads.
