The EHBA Hornets program is an elite pathway for talented players in the Eastern Hills Basketball Association. The EHBA Hornets have successfully competed at a representative level since 1972.
There will be a Division 1 & 2 Hornets team selected for each age group U/12 – U/18 Boys & Girls.
Former Zodiacs & Rookies player, Cayla George has been selected for the Australian Women's Basketball Team to compete at the Rio Olympics over the period 5-21 Aug 2016.

Lightning players, Mollie McKendrick, Mikaela Ruef and Morgan Yaeger will run a clinic at Cornerstone College on Thursday, 11 February to help deliver MAC’s Game Changer message into the community. Sessions will focus on basketball skill development while incorporating a discussion around safe decision making practices, both on the basketball court and on the road.
At the recent Australian Junior Basketball Country Cup held annually in NSW border city of Albury, Eastern Hills Basketball identity Henry Weiss received the prestigious Award of Merit.

Congratulations to our EHBA junior representatives in gaining selection in the SA Country Development teams to compete at the Australian Junior Country Cup (Albury) and the Southern Cross Challenge (Melbourne this coming January).
The Eastern Hill Basketball Association are well represented in coming weeks 2015 Pacific School Games held in Adelaide. Local junior standouts Declan Hortle (Onka Piranhas), Georgie Pedlar (German Arms) will be on show with the South Australian 12 and under SSA State teams.
The Womens A League Basketball season has kicked off with plenty of excitement and enthusiasm for the coming summer season. Mount Barker Magic again start as firm title favourites, with ample scoring talent, paced by livewire point guard Tennille Searl the Magic will be hard to stop on any night.
The 2015 EHBA Mens A – League competition season will be a different beast to any of the previous decade. The landscape has definitely changed. You will still see a handful of Premier League players join the league, in increasing numbers as the season progresses. What’s new and exciting is an influx of legitimate local junior talent, in a bigger wave than ever before.

It's with a heavy heart that we would like to advise that the father of one of our association members, Brodie Pool, passed away on Thursday June 18th 2015.
On behalf of all of us at Eastern Hills Basketball Association, our thoughts, prayers and most heartfelt condolences and sympathy are with the Pool Family.

On Tuesday March 24, Under 10 girls presentations will take place at 5:50 on court 2. All U10 girls teams should be in attendance to receive participation medals.
On Thursday March 26, the U10 Boys presentations will occur in 2 sessions, with each team receiving their participation medals after they have finished their game.

Daylight savings ends just in time for our grand final day. Please remember to wind your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night. On the plus side, if you forget, there will be plenty of action at the YMCA this Sunday if you arrive early for your game!
Our Grand Final Day starts with Under 12 Div 1 Girls at 8:30am with our final game being the A grade men at 4:30pm. Doors open 8am, gold coin donation for spectators. A BBQ is available for breakfast & lunch.
There are two presentation sessions. The first being at 1:30pm on court 2 (u12s through to u16 div 2 boys). A second session is at 5:30 on court 1 (under 16 div 1 boys through to seniors).
If the predicted temp is 34 degrees, games on ct 3 are cancelled. Where a division uses ct 3 for games, all games for that day are cancelled (incl. cts 1 & 2). Other games on cts 1 &2 are played under modified conditions (please see Hot Weather Policy for more)
If predicted temperature is 38 or more ALL games are cancelled.
