MENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 56 d Saints 55

In a high standard exciting encounter Wildcats claimed the premiership by a solitary point. The lead changed hands many times throughout the match and loser was always going to be unlucky.

Wildcats Aydan Bartlett won the MVP, he rebounded strongly and scored off good drives finishing with 13 points. Matt Stock played very well and posted a game-high 19 points. Daniel Stock made good decisons with the ball and he posted 13 points.

Saints Alex Haynes worked hard in defence and shot well posting a top score of 15 points. Sam Basham played a strong rebounding game and worked the low post well and finished with 10 points. Mitchell Kelton played consistently and posted 14 points. Joel Lomman played a honest match and hit 9 points.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 44 d Saints 34

Wildcats started well and controlled the match from that point and ran out good 10 point winners over Saints. Saints won the middle two quarters but couldn't make a significant impact on the scoreboard.

Wildcats MVP Brooke Basham proved hard to contain and she posted a game-high 20 points. Caitlin Rose and Ashlyn Menz played their roles well and both hit 8 points. Katie Langmead played well and broke the lines.

Saints had players drop in and out of the game. Lucy Earl played a solid game and posted a top score of 13 points. Hannah Stewart defended well and posted 9 points. Bronnie Nicholls grabbed a good share of the boards. Zoey Wade used the ball well from the point.

MENS DIVISION 2

Magic Black 47 d Wildcats 18

Magic Black after a low scoring tight first stanza got away in the second quarter posting 13 points to nil. Magic never let Wildcats back in the contest and ran out convincing 29 point winners.

Magic's Tom Hughes used the ball well and set up many opportunties while posting 15 points himself and he was awarded the MVP. Dennis Silvestri was in good touch and he posted a game-high 17 points. Matt Doyle played a steady game and hit 5 points.

Wildcats were best served by Sam Willis who top scored with 8 points and Scott Cannin who posted 6 points. Dylan Tyrell collected many boards.

WOMENS DIVISION 2

Saints '2' trailing by 6 at the last change forced the game into overtime and then went on to record a good 5 point win over Lakers '1'.

Saints Cara Panuccio won the MVP, rebounded well and worked the low post well and posted a game-high 20 points. Kaya Angus played well, passed well and finished with 7 points. Meg Earl blocked many shots, rebounded strongly and posted 9 points. Sophie Towell defended well and chipped in with 4 points.

Lakers Rachell Zimmermann contested hard on the boards and she was also good off the low post hitting a top score of 18 points. Jaimi Griffen played consistently and finished with 8 points. Natalie Leon Hoyos played with a strong work rate in defence.

MENS DIVISION 3

Wildcats '1' 57 d Wildcats '2' 26

Wildcats '1' was the most consistent team during the season and made short work of Wildcats '2' in the second term hitting 22 point to 2.

Wildcats '1' Jamie Lang played with purpose and he won the MVP hiiting a game-high 20 points. Jarrod Knowles took the game on amd palyed very well hitting 14 points. Brayden Corby played well and hit 8 points. Derek Sim defended stauchly and posted 6 points.

Wildcats '2' Jonas Nichele never gave up and he was their best psoting a top score of 17 points. Kale Allen had some good moments and hit 5 points. Bradley Lintern chipped in with 4 points.

WOMENS DIVISION 3

Magic Black 30 d Pistons 21

Magic Black had a good opening term and led 8 points to 3. Magic controlled the game but Pistons won the third term and were in striking distance at the last break. Magic stood firm in the last and claimed the premiership.

Magic Black's Tahlia Griffiths was awarded the MVP and she was in good outside shooting form pocketing a game-high 16 points. Angela Griffiths did a good job inside the keyway, rebounding well and she finished with 5 points. Toshimi Angus defended stoutly and hit 4 points. Vicki Evans and Karen Steele defended well and used the ball well and the rest of the players played a good team match.

All Pistons players made good contributions at different times but no-one put together 4 good quarters. Sharon Phillips top scored with 6 points. Brianna Williams rebounded well. Kaelee Cannin and Viki Westbrook both posted 4 points.

UNDER 16 BOYS

Magic Black 46 d Lakers 28

Magic Black got away in the second term winning the quarter 17 points to 7 and were able to control the contest from that point. 

Magic played a strong disciplined team game and it would have been hard to split Stuart Fahey and Sam Greer for the MVP. Stuart Fahey got the nod playing well and he posted a top score of 13 points. Sam Greer played skilfully and also top scored with 13 points. Chris Small battled manfully on the boards and posted 9 points. Oli Prichard was a smart user of the ball and hit 6 points.

Lakers Jackson Vogelsang played well and top scored with 8 ppoints. Zac Dowling rebounded well and hit 7 points. Joshua Roberts hiiting a couple of nice three pointers. Will Martin collected a good share of the boards.

UNDER 16 GIRLS

Pistons 44 d Saints 25

Pistons reversed the semi-final result over Saints and won the premiership in convincing fashion by 19 points.

MVP Shanika-Anne Barr played very well from the point and she produced a 25 point haul. Georgia Kraft grabbed many boards and scored 8 points. Kaelee Cannan played a consistent match and hit 7 points. The Pistons team played a good team game with all players contributing to the victory.

Saints lost the last three quarters. Cara Panuccio was Saints best and top scored with 13 points. Kaya Angus was a solid contributor and hit 8 points.

UNDER 14 BOYS DIVISION 1

Saints 50 d Pistons '2' 41

In a very good standard contest where scores were locked away at three quarter time Saints lifted in the final term and recorded a 9 point win.

Saints defended well and used their feet well in defence and then pushed hard in transistion to set up scores. MVP Daniel Smith played well and got better the longer the game went and he finished with 11 points. Leon Phillips used the ball efficiently and played well and hit 12 points. Sam Baxter played a great second half and hit a game-high 15 points. Nick Baxter was in nice touch and scored 10 points. Luka Phillips played an important last term.

Pistons James Kleining played a fine match, used his good skills well and often split the defence and he top scored with 10 points. Ethan Spriggs worked hard both ends of the court and played effectively and hit 9 points. Kasper Rowland rebounded strongly and hit 5 points. Jamar Scarvelis played some useful ball and chipped in with 4 points.

UNDER 14 BOYS DIVISION 2

Pistons 37 d Wildcats 35

Pistons only won one quarter for the match, the second where they hit 16 points to 4 and that opened up the game where they led by 10 points at the main change. Wildcats kept coming at Pistons but fell short by a point in an entertaining match.

Pistons Jack Read was the MVP, he defended aggressively and he was good in offfence posting a top score of 9 points. Hamish Lange played a rock-solid match and finished with 6 points. Jackson Burgar was in ncie touch and he hit 6 points. Jonathon Nogg played his role well and finished with 6 points.

Wildcats Ryan Pearsons worked hard from the point and he posted 8 points. Lochie Hand collected many rebounds and he played very well fininhing with a game-high 12 points. Noah Williams was a good contributor and finished with 6 points. Jesse Jarrett was good in the contests and hit 5 points.

UNDER 14 GIRLS

Saints '2' 40 d Magic Black 37

Saints '2 started well with a 10 point to 4 opening quarter and then extended the lead to 9 points at the main break. Magic challenged hard in the second half but fell short by three points in strong contested game.

MYP Saints Jordan Minenko used her skills and her pace well and she finished with 13 points. Magic found it hard to combat the height of Sophie Towell who pocketed many boards and posted a game-high 16 points. Michelle Farr pulled down strong boards and used the ball well. Kaylee Jenner and Jenny Panozzo played important roles.

For Magic Amy Kerr, Taryn Connor and Lana Drake all played well, they competed strongly and were effective contributors each finishing with a top score of 10 points. Shenae Williams played a steady game and finished with 5 points.

UNDER 12 BOYS

Pistons 33 d Wildcats 24

Both teams competed hard in the first term and Pistons led by 2 at the break. They opened a good break in the second stanza with a 13 point to 4 scond quarter. Wildcats had a real dip but Pistons held them at bay and recorded a 9 point victory.

Pistons Hamish Lange defended staunchly, rebounded well and posted 7 points and won the MVP. Matawai Scarvelis started really well and hit Pistons first 8 points in his 10 point game. Kody Muirhead played well and he had a big final term and he finished with 7 points. Caden Bell played well he played positively and finished with 6 points.

Wildcats Jamie Baxter had a good match and he top scored with 8 points. Ryan Pearsons played well and hit 6 points. Josh Wenham had some good moments and finished with 4 points. Kieran Garrett had a solid match and scored 4 points.

UNDER 12 GIRLS

Saints 31 d Magic Black 22

In frantic and strongly contested match Saints trialled by 4 points at the final change but finished with big last term where they hit 19 points to 6 and recorded a good 9 point win.

Saints MVP Summer Ford-Wilson got into foul trouble early but played smart basketball and she posted a game-high 14 points. Olivia Davis played determinedly all match and stepped up in the fianl term hitting 8 of her 12 points in this term. Bella Marson defended well. Piper Hudson and Holly Priddle were useful contributors.

Magic's Rachel Sommerville played very well, split the defence with her pace and she top scored with 10 points. Emily Reid played strong aggressive defence, rebounded very well and hit 4 points. Kasey Bugg played the low post well and chipped in with 4 points. Charlotte Durward worked hard in defence.

WOMENS DIVISION 4

Pistons 36 d Magic 24

Pistons took three quarters to shake off a determined Magic outfit and ran out 12 point winners in the end.

Pistons MVP Deb Beaton hit 6 points and controlled and used the ball well. Jess Moss played well inside the stripe and finished with 11 points. Kerry Lange was in good form and top scored with 14 points. 

Magic's Ebbie Pritchard played a good match and she top scored with 8 points. Tayla Morris played decent ball and hit 5 points. Amy Kerr was more than useful and posted 5 points. April Vanderkamp played a strong rebounding game.
