SEMI FINALS

MENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 54 d Saints 48

In the Mens Division 1 second semi fianl Wildcats led at every change in a close hard fought contest. Saints were within 2 points at the final change but Wildcats steadied late and booked a place in the grand final.

Wildcats Matt Stock was in great touch and produced a game-high  26 point haul. Aydan Bartlett collected strong boards and hit 16 points. Daniel Stock used the ball effectively and Max Scott chipped in with 6 points.

Saints Sam Basham played well in the stripe and posted a top score of 16 points. Ben Basham played consistently and finished with 14 points. Tom Cleggett played well and hit 12 points

Lakers '2' 49 d Magic 45

Lakers '2' knocked out Magic with a 4 point win in a game that had many lead changes and the loser was always going to be unlucky as both sides played well. 

Laker's '2' Patrick Jonczyk in a skilful performance pocketed a game-high 21 points. Tyson Davis-Neale collected many boards and he finished with 9 points. Dylan Mason defended and rebounded well. Mitch Davis scored 6 points.

Magic's Tom Pinyon was in good touch and posted a top score of 18 points, Nick Whiterod worked hard inside the paint and hit 12 points. Brock Knott rebounded well. Caleb Pope finished with 6 points.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 68 d Saints 36

Wildcats made short work of Saints with a big opening term posting 21 points to 5. Saints won the second term but Wildcats dominated the second half and completely outclassed Saints by 32 points.

Wildcats Brooke Basham was in excellent form and split the defence regularly during her 30 point collect. Sherrie Hurrell played positively and effectively and scored 14 points. Katie Langmead 8 points and Caitlin Rose 7 points made good contributions.

Saints were best served by Lucy Earl who posted a top score of 16 points and Cara Panuccio who play well off the low post and scored 7 points. Tayla Bohnsack played a good last quarter where she hit 8 points.

Magic 40 d Lakers 38

Magic were able to hold out a fast finishing Lakers team and booked a spot in the Preliminary Final against Saints. Lakers trialled by 10 at three quarter-time and scored 15 points to 7 but came up a basket short.

Magic's Rachel Searle played the purpose, competed strongly on the boards and hit game-high 18 points. Abby Bricknell made good decisions with the ball and hit 8 points. Laura Jones 6 points and Tahlia Griffiths 5 points played good team games.

Lakers Kerri-Ann Moon played a very good final and also posted a game-high 18 points. Kristy Grant rebounded well and played an honest game finishing with 10 points. Sarah White defended aggressively and hit 4 points.
