WB 12.09.2016

MENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 50 d Saints 44

In a hotly contested match where both sides defended vigorously inside the paint and the defensive pressure was high it was Wildcats shot selection that prove the main difference between the sides.

Wildcats big man Max Scott worked very hard defensively in the stripe and worked the low post well and he posted a game-high 16 points. Aydan Bartlett made good decisions with the ball, rebounded well and finished with 13 points. Daniel Stock was a prime mover with his good passing game and he hit 10 points.

Saints Sam Basham defended grimly, rebounded strongly and played very well top scoring with 13 points. Mitchell Kelton played a consistent match and hit 11 points. Ben Basham played well from the point hit 10 points and produced some good assists. Tom Cleggett made a solid contribution of 10 points.

Pistons 66 d Lakers '2' 42

Pistons got away to a nice start and with points coming from the inside and outside they proved hard to contain. Pistons won comfortably over Lakers '2' by 24 points and now meet Saints in preliminary final.

Pistons Ben Kelly in a focused performance played a strong game inside the paint and finished witha game-high 26 points. Zac Bazzacco used the ball efficiently and he was effective from the outside hitting 16 points. Rob Reichmann rebounded well and refused to concede easy baskets and his strong straight-up defensive was pivotal. He posted 14 points.

Lakers had their moments but poor decision making with ball and taking too many three point shots didn't help their cause. Dylan Mason collected most of their boards and finished with 11 points. Connor McNeil hit some good threes in his 12 point game.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Lakers 46 d Magic 36

Lakers controlled the match against Magic and even though the margin was 10 points they never looked they would lose the match.

Lakers played a good team game and defended staunchly. Kerri-Ann Moon played a fine match, used the ball well and shot well pocketing a game-high 17 points. Courtney Barry's hard running got her into good shooting spots and she played well and finished with 12 points. Sarah White played with strong work ethic, passed well and set up many scores. Kristy Grant rebounded and defended strongly and chipped in with 9 points.

Magic's Laura Jones played with more intensity and she had a very good match posting a top score of 14 points. Rachel Searle collected a good share of the boards and she finished with 12 points. 

Wildcats 44 d Saints 22

Wildcats won every quarter and won their way through to a third consecutive grand final and now will be aiming for a three-peat. Wildcats outclassed Saints in all facets of the game and won easily by 22 points.

Wildcats tall Caitlin Rose played an excellent match, working well in the stripe and she posted a game-high 17 points. Brooke Basham played skilfully and controlled the floor and finished with 16 points. Ashlyn Menz defended stoutly, rebounded well and she hit 4 points. Gemma Phillips, Kelly White, Katie Langmead and Jasmine Walker all played well.

Saints Zoey Wade maintained good defensive pressure all game and was their best. Lucy Earl got into foul trouble early but top scored with 9 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Lakers '2' 64 d Magic 54

Lakers '2' led at every break and accounting for Magic by 10 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played an excellent match pocketing a game high 28 points. Connor McNeill hit some nice shots in his 11 point game. Dylan Mason and Mitch Davis both hit 7 points.

Magic's Nick Whiterod played his usual consistent match and he top scored with 21 points. Neil Silvestri was up and about and he posted 16 points. Stuart Fahey finished with 8 points/

Wildcats 65 d Saints 64

In a fantastic contest with many momentum changes Wildcats had their noses in front at the final siren defeating Saints by a solitary point.

Wildcats had a good spread of scorers with Aydan Bartlett and Matt Stock playing well and each posted a game-high 18 points. Daniel Stock was in good shooting form and he hit 17 points. 

Saints Ben Basham and Mitchell Kelton played with purpose and both top scored with 14 each. Sam Basham rebounded well and hit 9 points.

Pistons 44 d Lakers '1' 42

In a tight contest Pistons claimed the premiership points after flying home with a 31 point to 18 final half over Lakers '1'.

Pistons big man Rob Reichmann was in top form and he hit a game high 14 points. Ben Kelly played effectively and added 12 points. Zac Bazzacco was a good contributor and scored 11 points.

Lakers '1' Tom Hastings played with good intensity and he finished with a top score of 13 points. Martin Gladwin grabbed many rebounds and he hit 12 points. Jackson Elmes used the ball well and he posted 9 points.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Saints 61 d Magic 37

In a fast running game Saints accounted for Magic by 24 points.

Saints passed well with Lucy Earl shooting well from the outside and she posted a game-high 22 points. Isabelle Bohnsack's good form continued and she hit 11 points. Zoey Wade and Tayla Bohnsack played with good focus and both hit 9 points.

Magic's best was Madi Round who played with pace and posted an equal top score of 15 points. Rachel Searle also hit 15 points and was active in the paint.

Wildcats 31 d Lakers 28

Wildcats had to work hard to secure va three point victory against Lakers in a low scoring encounter.

Wildcats Brooke Basham played with good skills and she posted a game-high 18 points. Caitin Rose 5 points and Ashlyn Menz rebounded well.

Lakers Courtney Barry played well posting a top score of 12 pooints. Sarah White defended well, passed well and she posted 7 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Saints 75 d Lakers '1' 55

The first half was a tight contest with scores locked away at 25 apiece. The game open up in the second half and Saints posted 25 -8 in a fast running third term. Saints ran out 20 point winners.

Saints Ben Basham was in excellent form and in skillful performance posted a game-high 30 points. Sam Basham continues to pull down the majority of the Saints boards and he finished with 12 points. Mitchell Kelton played positively and finished with 18 points.

Lakers Martin Gladwin carried a huge workload on the boards and he was dominant in the paint with a 24 point haul. Shane Hastings mopped up most of the other boards and was active in offence posting 16 points. Tom Hastings played a useful match and finished with 10 points.

Wildcats 60 d Lakers '2' 57

Lakers won the first term 16 points to 11. Wildcats hit back with a 18-10 second term. Wildcats led the majority of the second half but Lakers were never far away. Wildcats won a very good contest by three points.

Wildcats Max Scott jumped hard at the boards, defended well and pocketed a game-high 18 points. Aydan Bartlett played well, produced some good moves inside the paint and finished with 13 points. Matt Stock played consistently and finished with 11 points. Andy Ratti used his skills well and hit 9 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk took a while to get going but played a big second half where he hit 15 of his 19 points. Reece Kleinig played aggressive defence and was in good touch in offence posting 14 points. Mitch Davis hit some good shots in his 9 point game. Dylan Mason collected many boards and chipped in with 5 points. 

Magic 55 d Pistons 45

Magic was up and about and outplayed the in form Pistons team and secured a 10 point win.

Magic shared the ball well in offence and got a good spread of scorers. Nick Whiterod played well and posted a tops score of 14 points. Sam Greer played a good match scoring 10 points. Neil Silvestri 9 points, Luke Giddings 8 points and Tom Fergusson 8 points played their roles well.

Pistons Zac Bazzacco was in good form hitting a game-high 17 points. Rob Reichmann competed strongly inside the stripe and hit 7 points. Anthony Rowland was a good contributor and finished with 8 points. 

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Saints 50 d Wildcats 47

In a good standard match where both teams had quality players missing Saints finished strongly after trailing by 8 at the last change and hit 19 points to 8 to record a 3 point win.

Saints played a good team game where Lucy Earl reboounded well, defended staunchly and posted a top score of 14 points. Hannah Stewart was a good user of the ball, defended stoutly and collected a good share of the boards and finished with 10 points. Isabelle Bohnsack backed up last games very good performance with another fine game and she finished with 12 points. Zoey Wade and Tayla Bohnsack both played well and hit 6 points each.

Wildcats Brooke Basham played another good match posting a game-high 18 points. Katie Langmead played with pace and skill and shot well hitting 14 points. Caitlin Rose collected many boards, defended strongly and finished with 10 points. Under 16 player Amber Rose hit a nice three pointer.

Magic 48 d Pistons 28

Magic led by 5 at half time but got away in third term scoring 18 points to 7. Magic ran out 20 point winners against Pistons who have been producing more competitive scorelines late in the season.

Magic's Laura Jones played a great match posting a game-high 17 points. Keeley Round played with plenty of energy and skill and hit 14 points. Emma Haren and Amy Kerr both chipped in the 6 points.

Pistons Shanika-Anne Barr played well from the point and she hit a top score of 11 points. Carin Kappler has had a solid season and she contributed 6 points. Jen Taylor worked hard inside the keyway and she posted 4 points.  

  

 

 

 

 

WB 22.08.2016

Laker '2' 65 d Saints 51

The contest was tight but Lakers ended up posting a 14 point victory over Saints but received 13 late player points.

Lakers Patrick Jonczyk played very well posting a game-high 22 points. Mitch Davis played a consistent match shooting well and finished with 15 points. Dylan Mason rebounded well and hit 8 points.

Saints Ben Basham was in good touch and posted a top score of 19 points. Tom Cleggett 13 points and Sam Dunbar 10 points played honest games.

Lakers '1' 46 d Magic 33

In a defensive contest Lakers '1' got the points posting a good 13 point win.

Lakers Tom Hastings had a fine match and top scored with 13 points. Shane Hastings and Jackson Elmes both hit 10 points and played their roles well. Martin Gladwin mopped up many boards and chipped in with 6 points.

Magic were patchy at best, Neil Silvestri and Stuart Fahey both top scored with 8 points. Sam Greer posted 7 points while Nick Whiterod collected most of their boards.   

Pistons 70 d Wildcats 68

In a high scoring skillful contest Pistons accounted for Wildcats by 2 points.

Pistons Zac Bazzacco played a top game and knocked downed a game-high 26 points. Rob Reichmann 14 and Ben Kelly 10 points did strong work on the boards. Luke Reynolds played effectively and hit 11 points.

Wildcats Matt Stock was in good form and posted a top score of 20 points. Todd Seymour was active inside the paint and hit 13 points. Daniel Stock played well and hit 13 points. Andy Ratti produced some nice moves and finished with 11 points.

WOMEN DIVISION 1:

Wildcats 42 d Magic 30:

Wildcats played a strong last term where they hit 17 points to 7 and ran out solid 12 point winners against a determined Magic team.

Wildcats Brooke Basham led the way with a 18 point collect. They had even contributions with Katie Langmead posting 7 points and Jasmine Walker and Ashlyn Menz both scoring 6 points.

Magic's Rachel Searle played well and top scored with 14 points. Amy Kerr and Tahlia Griffiths made solid contributions and hit 6 points each.

Lakers 54 d Pistons 22

Lakers outplayed Pistons to record a 32 point victory. Pistons were good in the first half but Lakers dominated the second half.

Lakers Kristy Grant worked hard inside the paint, shot well and posted a game-high 19 points. Kerri-Ann Moon used the ball well and hit 15 points all three pointers. Sarah White 8 pointsamd Courtney Barry 7 points were good contributors.

Pistons Jennifer Taylor and Rebecca White battled hard on the boards and both top scored with 5 points. Shanika-Anne Barr played well and hit 5 points.

Wildcats 74 d Lakers '1' 46:

Wildcats overcame a slow start to defeat Lakers '1' comfortably by 28 points. Lakers '1' controlled the first quarter scoring 21 points to 12 but Wildcats won the next three terms.

Wildcats Matt Stock played an excellent match posting a game-high 26 points. Max Scott was damaging inside the paint and pocketed 19 points. Andrea Ratti played well and hit 8 points.

Lakers '1' Jackson Elmes had a good match top scoring with 16 points. Matt Parker was in nice touch and finished with 13 points. Shane Hastings rebounded strongly and hit 9 points.

Saints 45 d Magic 42

Saints had the better of the first half before Magic rallied in the third term drawing within a point at the final break. In a tense final term Saints got home by 3 points.

Saints Sam Basham played very well and had a big second half finishing with a game-high of 18 points. Ben Basham was in great touch in the first half where he hit 13 of his 16 points. Jack Wade 6 points and Michael Pearce 4 points played honest matches.

Magic's Tom Fergusson proved hard to contain and he hit many nice outside jump shots in his game-high 18 points. Nick Whiterod used the ball efficiently and posted 13 points. Sam Greer chipped in with 7 points.

Pistons 64 d Lakers '2' 58

Pistons played decent ball all game but set up their victory over top team Lakers '2' with a 21 point to 8 opening term and then were able to hold out a fast finishing Lakers and secure a 8 point win.

Pistons Rob Reichmann set the scene early posting 11 of his 28 point haul in the opening stanza, Ben Kelly player better the longer the game went and he finished with 15 points. Zachary Bazzacco hit some fine outside shots in his 12 point game. James Hunt competed strongly on the boards and hit 6 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played an excellent match posting a game-high 34 points. Jedd Davis 9 points and Connor McNeill 8 points played some useful ball.Dylan Mason collected most of their boards.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Wildcats 47 d Pistons 19

Top side Wildcats got away to a nice lead quickly and led by 11 points at the first change over Pistons. Wildcats won all 4 quarters and recorded a clinical 28 point victory.

Wildcats Brooke Basham played a teriffic match posting a game-high 26 points. Caitlin Rose rebounded well and hit 10 points. Ashlyn Menz defended strongly and posted 6 points.

Pistons Kaelee Cannan had a good game and led the scoring with 6 points. Shanika Barr played well from the point and scored 5 points. Jen Taylor collected many rebounds.

Saints 69 d Lakers 36

Saints played four good quarters of team basketball and accounted for Lakers by 33 points.

Saints passed well and had a good spread of scorers with Lucy Earl posting a game-high 18 points. Isabelle Bohnsack was in fine form and hit 14 points. Bronnie Nicholls defended staunchly and hit 12 points. Tayla Bohnsack 10 points and Dani Brown 9 points played well. Zoey Wade produced many good assists.

Lakers Kerri Bartley played well top scoring with 10 points. Sarah White played consistently and hit 9 points. Kristy Grant had her moments and finished with 7 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Pistons 60 d Saints 43

Fourth placed Pistons accounted for second placed Saints winning comfortably by 17 points.

Pistons Ben Kelly played very well posting a game-high 20 points. Rob Reichmann collected many boards and posted 18 points. Zac Bazzacco was in good form and hit 16 points.

Saints Ben Basham played well from the point and posted a top score of 17 points. Sam Basham contested strongly, rebounded well and hit 10 points. Michael Pearce 8 points and Sam Dunbar 6 points had their moments.

Wildcats 60 d Magic 57

In an even contest the scores were locked away at the end of each of the first three quarters. Wildcats won the last three quarters and won by 3 points.

Wildcats Max Scott played an outstanding match posting a 29 point haul. Aydan Bartlett and Scott Cannin played their roles well and hit 9 point each.

Magic's Nick Whiterod played well inside the paint and hit a top score of 21 points. Tom Fergusson played with purpose and hit 18 points. Neil Silvestri contributed 11 points.

Lakers '2' 79 d Lakers '1' 56

Lakers '2' won all four quarters and at the final siren were 23 points in front.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played an excellent match and produced a 26 point game. Dylan Mason worked hard, defended well and scored 15 points. Mitch Davis and Reece Kleinig played consistently and finished with 13 points each.

Lakers '1' had an even contribution from its team. Jackson Elmes lead the scoring with 12 points. Tom Hastings 10 points, Paul Loughead 9 points and Matt Parker 8 points all had good matches.

WOMEN DIVISION 1

Saints 69 d Pistons 32

In a free flowing match Saints had a good 37 point win over a determined Pistons outfit.

Saints Bronni Nicholls played very well, defended strongly, rebounded well and hit a game-high 21 points. Lucy Earl was in good touch and finished with 20 points. Hannah Stewart was in good form and posted 16 points. Zoey Wade 10 points and Dani Rose defended well.

Pistons Hannah Paul played well top scoring with 7 points. Carin Kappler, Shanika Barr and Kaelee Cannin all were solid contributors and finished with 6 point each.

Lakers 38 d Magic 33

Lakers overcame a 9 point first term deficit and went on to record a 5 point win over Magic.

Lakers Kristy Grant played well inside the stripe posting a game-high 13 points. Kerri Bartley rebounded strongly and hit 7 points.Courtney Barry was in  good touch and posted 8 points. Kelly Stanton chipped in with 6 points.

Magic's Madi Round played 4 good quarters and also hit a game-high 13 points. Laura Jones played a fine match and hit 8 points. Rachel Searle played well until injured and finished with 6 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Saints 39 d Lakers '1' 28

In a low scoring defensive clash Saints won the second half 17 points to 6 against Lakers '1' and secured an 11 point victory.

Saints Sam Basham played a strong rebounding and defensive game and also posted a game-high 13 points. Tom Cleggett 7 points, Jack Wade 6 points and Michael Pearce 5 points all played some decent ball.

Lakers Martin Gladwin defended staunchly, rebounded well and top scored with 7 points. Tom Hastings and Shane Hastings played some useful ball and hit 6 points each.

Wildcats 69 d Lakers '1' 51

Lakers '2' had the better of the opening half and led by 4 points at the major break. Wildcats dominated the third term and hit 25 points to 11 and then extended their lead to 15 points at the final siren.

Wildcats Matt Stock was in good touch and he produce a 20 point haul. Harry Sherrah played very well and posted 13 points. Max Scott 13 points and Aydan Bartlett 10 points played well inside the stripe.

Lakers Patrick Jonczyk competed strongly and finished with a game-high 21 points. Tyson Davis-Neale rebounded well and he finished with 8 points. Mitch Davis played a good second half and scored 8 points. Dylan Mason boarded strongly and chipped in with 5 points.

Pistons 66 d Magic 44

Pistons overcame a slow start and won the last three quarters to claim a 22 point victory over Magic.

Pistons played a good team game and Zac Bazzacco shot well posting a game-high 17 points. Luke Reynolds played a fine match and he finished with 16 points. James Hunt 14 points and Ben Kelly 13 points were good contributors.

Magic's Neil Silvestri worked hard and also hit a game-high 17 points. Tom Fergusson had his moments and posted 10 points. Luke Giddings 8 points and Sam Greer 7 points were useful contributors.

WOMEN DIVISION 1:

Magic 46 d Pistons 15

Magic won all four quarters and got away to a good start with a 14 point to 3 first term.

Magic's Rachel Searle was in good form and she posted a game-high 19 points. Tahlia Griffiths played well and posted 11 points. Amy Kerr 6 points, Laura Jones 4 points and Emma Haren played honest games.

Pistons were best served by Carin Kappler who top scored with 10 points. Jennifer Taylor battled hard on the boards and hit 3 points.

Wildcats 55 d Saints 43

Wildcats trailed by 3points at the main change but won the third term decisively hitting 14 points to 2 and prove too good for Saints winning by 12 points.

Wildcats Caitlin Rose played well and posted a game-high 17 points. Kelly White found good shooting range and posted 16 points. Ashlyn Menz competed strongly on the boards and posted 14 points.

Saints Tayla Bohnsack played an excellent match posting a game-high 25 points. Zoey Wade played well, defended stoutly and hit 6 points. Lucy Earl collected many boards and hit 8 points.

Wildcats 70 d Pistons 54

Wildcats were impressive early and opened with a 21 point to 8 opening stanza. Wildcats were able to control the match from this point and ran out 16 point winners over Pistons.

Wildcats Max Scott proved difficult to contain as he played well inside the stripe and pocketed a game-high 25 points. Matt Stock was in good form and shot well from the outside posting 20 points. Harry Sherrah was in nice touch and hit 15 points including 3 three pointers.

Pistons had a good spread of scorers with James Hunt leading the way in a positive performance with14 points Zac Bazzacco hit some good shots and finished with 12 points. David Moffett played a solid game and scored 10 points.Ben Kelly chipped in with 9 points.

Magic 48 d Lakers '1' 46

Magic collected the premiership points in a close encounter  outlasting Lakers '1' to record a 2 point victory.

Magic's experieced players in Tom Fergusson who posted a game-high 19 points and Neil Silvestri 17 points stepped up and steered Magic to victory. Stuart Fahey was more than useful and added 9 points.

Lakers Martin Gladwin ws proactive in the paint and posted a top score of 14 points. Tom Hastings played a fine match and also top scored with 14 points. Nick Hastings 8 points and Paul Loughhead 6 points made good contributions.

WOMEN DIVISION 1:

Lakers 64 d Pistons 36

In a fiercely contested match Lakers class prevailed and they posted a very good 28 point victory over a determined Pistons outfit.

Lakers Kristy Grant rebounded well and work hard inside the keyway, shot well and posted a game-high 18 points. Kerri Bartley competed strongly and played well scoring 15 points. Courtney Barry played consistently and finished with 14 points. Kerri-Ann Moon 7 points and Sarah White 6 points played with purpose.

Pistons Shanika_Anne Barr played positively and effectively and finished with a equal game-high 18 points. Hannah Paul played well and scored 8 points. Jess Moss competed strongly on the boards and hit 4 points. Amy Ryan defended staunchly and scored 4 points.

Wildcats 43 d Magic 31

Wildcats won the last three quarters and had to work hard to shake off Magic and were eventual winners by 12 points. Wildcats efficient ball use was the difference in the end.

Wildcats Katie Langmead had a big impact with her passing and shooting and was their best finishing with 10 points. Brooke Basham played well and top scored with 11 points. Kelly White was in nice form and posted 8 points. Jess Lovering and Ashlyn Menz both were honest performers and hit 7 points each.

Magic's Rachel Searle played a fine game and she posted a game-high 15 points. Grace McDonald played with good intensity and hit 9 points. Emma Harren played some useful ball and scored 5 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Magic 57 d Saints 51

Saints took a narrow one point lead into the main change but Magic controlled the third quarter with a 23 point to 13 term. Magic held out Saints in the final term and recorded a 6 point win.

Magic's Tom Fergusson was up and about and he led the way with a 22 point points. Neil Silvestri was in good form and added 14 points. Sam Greer and Stuart Fahey both played good matches and hit 8 points each.

Saints Sam Basham was active inside the stripe and he pocketed a game-high 23 points. Ben Basham was good from the point and he hit 16 points. Sam Dunbar was a  good contributor and finished with 8 points.

Lakers '2' 58 d Pistons 49

Pistons won the first three quarters and led by 7 at the final change but Lakers finished with a wet sail hitting 28 points to 12 and secured a good 9 point victory.

Patrick Jonczyk lead the scoring with a game high 21 points and he hit 11 final quarters points. Alex Horrocks used the ball effectively and he was potent in offence scoring 19 points. Reece Kleinig played well and posted 12 points.

Pistons tall Rod Reichmann played very well and hit a top score of 16 points. David Moffett competed strongly and he played a fine match finishing with 14 points. Zac Bazzacco 8 points and James Hunt 7 points were solid contributors.

Lakers '1' 57 d Wildcats 44

Lakers '1' led by 9 at half time and controlled the second half running out 13 point winners over Wildcats.

Lakers '1' Martin Gladwin pulled down many boards, defended well and he finished with a game-high 17 points. Jackson Elmes was in good touch and he also hit a game-high 17 points. Paul Loughhead looked after the ball well and he posted 11 points. Shane Hastings grabbed a good share of the boards and he scored 7 points.

Wildcats Scott Cannin and Max Scott posted equal top scores of 11 points and both played their roles well. Matt Stock was a honest contributor and scored 10 points.

WOMENS DIVISION 1

Lakers 41 d Saints 36

Saints won the first half and led by 5 at the main change. Lakers stepped up in the second half and overan Saints winnning by 5 points.

Lakers Courtney Barry was their best she used her pace well and shot well posted a top score of 18 points. Kerri Bartley played a very good match and scored 12 points. Sarah White was in good form , she passed well and posted 7 points. Kristy Grant rebounded well and scored 4 points.

Saints Lucy Earl worked hard and she played well posting a game-high 20 points. Bronnie Nicholls boarded well and hit 4 points. Tayla Bohnsack chipped in with 6 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Saints 43 d Pistons 40

In a competitive contest the improved Pistons outfit pushed second placed Saints falling short by 3 points.

Saints had a good spread the workload and had a good spread of scorers. Ben Basham played well and posted a top score of 12 points. Tom Cleggett was in good touch and hit 10 points. Sam Basham was active inside the stripe and hit 9 points. Michael Pearce played consistently and finished with 7 points.

Lakers '2' posted a big score and comfortably defeated Lakers '1' by 35 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played an excellent match and hit a game-high 25 points. Dylan Mason rebounded strongly, defended well and hit 10 points. Mitch Davis 14 points, Reece Kleinig 11 points and Jedd Davis 8 points looked after the ball well.

Lakers '1' were best served by Shane Hastings who defended staunchly, rebounded well and worked then low post well finishing with a top score of 15 points. Paul Loughhead used the ball efficiently and hit 9 points.

Wildcats 62 d Magic 53

Wildcats lead at every chance and got the points with a solid 9 point win over Magic.

Wildcats Max Scott was in awesome form, using his height well to knock down a 30 point game-high haul. Daniel Stock made good decisions with the ball and finished with 17 points. Matt Stock 9 points and Harry Sherrah 6 points made good contributions.

Magic's Tom Fergusson played positiovely, shot well and hit a top score of 23 points. Luke Giddings played well and hit 14 points. Neil Silvestri was a solid contributor and hit 10 points.

Saints 69 d Pistons 31

Saints were out the blocks quickly and led 23 -6 at the first change. They won all four quarters and ran out 38 point winners.

Saints played a good passing game it was hard to pick their best with Lucy Earl 20 points, Tayla Bohnsack 19 points and Bronnie Nicholls 18 points sharing the workload. Jane Downes chipped in with 7 points.

Pistons worked hard in the final three terms. Sharon Phillips played well and hit some nice long shots top scoring with 13 points. Carin Kappler 5 points, Shanika Barr 5 points and Hannah Paul 4 points played some decent ball.

Magic 38 d Lakers 28

The first three quarters saw a hard fought contest with Magic leading by 3 at the last change. Magic played the better final term scoring 15 points to 8 and ran out 10 point winners.

Magic's Rachel Searle wsa in good form and psted a top score of 14 points. Grace McDonald played with purpose and hit 12 points. Amy Kerr 6 points and Abby Bricknell 4 points played useful ball.

Lakers Courtney Barry finished well and she was their best posting a game-high 15 points. Sarah White 6 points and Kristy Grant 5 points had rock solid games.

After a high scoring even first term Saints won the second and third terms and then held on to win by 8 points over Wildcats.

Saints Ben Basham played with composure when under pressure and posted a game-high 20 points. Sam Basham played a strong rebounding game and played well off the low post finishing with 17 points. Jack Wade played with purpose and hit 11 points. Sam Dunbar played a honest game and hit 7 points.

Wildcats Matt Stock was in good touch and posted a top score of 19 points. Max Scott boarded well and hit 13 points. Daniel Stock and Harry Sherrah both played their roles well and hit 7 points each.

Pistons 54 d Lakers '1' 36

Pistons improved form continued and they produce a comfortable 18 point win over Lakers '1'.

Pistons Zac Bazzacco played very well and hit a game-high 24 points which including 5 three pointers. Rob Reichmann defended stoutly, rebounded strongly and posted 10 points. Ben Kelly played consistently and scored 8 points. David Moffett played a useful match and finished with 8 points.

Lakers '1' Jackson Elmes was in good form and hit a top score of 11 points. Paul Loughhead played well from the point and hit 10 points. Shane Hastings was a solid contributor and hit 8 points.

In a good standard game Lakers '2' blew the game open with a 28 point to 9 second quarter and went on to defeat Magic by 15 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played skillfully and posted a game-high 23 points. Mitch Davis played a rock solid game and hit 13 points. Alex Horrocks passed well and posted 10 points. Dylan Mason boarded well and scored 6 points.

Saints got away to a good start with a 13 point to 3 first term and then controlled the match and ran 12 point winners over Magic.

Saints Tayla Bohnsack used her pace well and shot well hitting a game-high 17 points. Bronnie Nicholls defended well and was good in offence scoring 11 points. Dani Brown played well and defended staunchly. Lucy Earl rebounded well and hit 9 points.

Magic's had a good spread of scorers and their players dropped in and out of the game. Tahlia Griffiths was a solid contributor and top scored with 8 points. Amy Kerr played some decent ball and hit 6 points. Laura Jones finished with 5 points.

Wildcats were pushed all the way against a determined Lakers outfit who rallied late in the final term but fell short by 4 points.

Wildcats Brooke Basham top scored with 10 points. Jasmine Walker played well and hit 9 points. Caitlin Rose worked hard off the low post and posted 9 points. Ashlyn Menz played a solid match and scored 8 points.

Pistons won all four terms but dominated the second and third quarters where they hit 29 points to 11 and then went on to defeat Magic by 25 points.

Pistons Rob Reichmann was their best, he grabbed numerous boards, defended staunchly and hit 14 points. Zac Bazzacco was in excellent shooting touch where he pocketed a game-high 20 points. Ben Kelly played well and finished with 16 points. David Moffett played some useful ball and hit 8 points.

Magic's point guard Neil Silvestri played a fine match and posted a top score of 13 points. Nick Whiterod pulled down the majority of Magic's boards and hit 11 points. Stuart Fahey had some good moments and finished with 8 points.

Saints 59 d Lakers '1' 46

Saints claimed the premiership points. Scores were locked away at quarter-time but Saints lifted in the second term and hit 20 points to 6 and led by 14 at the major break. Saints won the third quarter 19 -7 before Lakers rallied late with a 20 -7 last quarter.

Saints Ben Basham good form continued and he played well from the point producing a 21 point game-high haul. Sam Basham battled manfully on the boards, defended well and hit 10 points. Michael Pearce played aggressively and shot well posting 14 points. Jack Wade chipped in with 9 points.

Lakers '1' Martin Gladwin was their best, he pocketed 19 points from inside the stripe and rebounded strongly. Shane Hasting was an honest contributor and hit 13 points. Jesse Panuccio hit some nice shots and finished with 8 points.

Lakers '2' 63 d Wildcats 53

The first three quarters was a tight contest but Lakers stepped up in the last hitting 20 points to 11 and secured a 10 point win over reigning premier Wildcats.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk was in excellent form and he hit a game-high 28 points. Dylan Mason competed strongly on the boards and he posted 11 points. Reece Kleinig played consistently and scored 8 points.

Wildcats Matt Stock played very well and hit a top score of 24 points. Scott Cannin played with purpose and finished with 11 points. Max Scott did a good job on the boards and he posted 10 points.

WOMEN DIVISION 1

Wildcats 46 d Saints 35

Wildcats led by a point at three quarter time but finished full of running and posted 21 points to 11 in the final term and won by 10 points.

Wildcats Brooke Basham was best and lifted in the final quarter hitting 11 of her game-high 23 points. Ashlyn Menz played a rock solid game, rebounded well and scored 12 points. Kelly White 6 points and Jasmine Walker 5 points were good contributors.

Saints Lucy Earl top scored with 16 points and with Bronnie Nicholls collected most of Saints boards. Bronnie Nicholls played well and posted 11 points. Chelsea Giles passed very well and played her best Division 1 game. 

Magic 59 d Pistons 19

Magic were far too strong for Pistons playing a fine team game and they accounted for them by 40 points.

Magics Rachel Searle played a very good match and posted a game-high 21 points. Madi Round was a good user of the ball and was potent in offence scoring 18 points. Abby Bricknell was in nice touch and posted 7 points.

Pistons had solid efforts from Carin Kappler 5 points, Hannah Paul 5 points, Jennifer Taylor 4 points and Amy Ryan 4 points.

MENS DIVISION 1

Magic 66 d Saints 31

Magic got off to a flier with a 23-2 first term and then won the final three terms and ran out easy 35 point winners over Saints.

Magic played a great team game with all players contributing to the win. Magic's Stuart Fahey played very well and hit a game high 18 points. Luke Giddings was in good form and hit 15 points. Neil Silvestri 14 points and Sam Greer 12 points used the ball efficiently. Graeme Pitchford rebounded well and hit 9 points.

Saints were best served by Ben Basham who top scored with 11 points. Sam Basham who collected most of the boards. Jack Wade chipped in with 6 points.

Wildcats 67 d Lakers '1' 54

Both teams played decent ball but Wildcats won three of the four quarters and finished 13 point victors.

Matt Stock hit a game-high 24 points and Aydan Bartlett 21 points played well and both players had significant scoreboard impact. Daniel Stock played well from the point. Harry Sherrah was rock solid and hit 7 points.

Lakers Tall Marttin Gladwin worked hard in defence, rebounded well and posted 17 points. Tom Hastings played with good intensity and top scored with 18 points. Shane Hastings played a steady match and hit 12 points.

Lakers '2' won a close defensive encounter against Piston winning by 3 points.

Lakers Reece Kleinig made good decisions and used the ball effectively and posted a top score of 14 points. Patrick Jonczyk played a strong second half and hit 12 points. Dylan Mason rebounded well. Alex Horrocks played consistently and hit 7 points.

Pistons Ben Kelly played aggressively in the paint and hit a top score of 11 points. James Hunt played better the longer the game went and posted 8 points. Anythony Rowland 6 points and Ben Mortimer 4 points rebounded strongly and defended staunchly.

Saints Dani Brown played very well, rebounded and passed well and posted 12 points. Lucy Earl posted a game-high 17 points grabbed strong boards. Bronwyn Nicholls defended stoutly, rebounded strongly and hit 7 points. Danielle Rose played a honest game and hit 7 points.

Lakers Lisa Morden competed well and top scored with 9 points. Courtney Barry 6 points and Kerri Bartley 5 points were good contributors.

Wildcats were in complete command of their game against Pistons winning all four quarters and posted a convincing 40 point win.

Wildcats Kelly White played a top match and posted a game-high 20 points. Caitlin Rose played well off the low post and pocketed 19 points. Brooke Basham and Ashlyn Menz both hit 9 points and played their poisitons well.

Pistons ws best served by Amy Ryan who played determinedly and was effective posting a top score of 10 points. Shanika-Anne Barr had her moments and finished with 7 points. Carin Kappler finished with 5 points.

Lakers '2' Patrick Jonczyk played a fine match and finished with a top score of 25 points. Alex Horrocks made good decisions with the ball and hit 7 points. Mitch Davis had his moments and scored 7 points. Dylan Mason rebounded well.

Lakers '1'Shane Hastings played an excellent game inside the stripe and finished with a game-high 25 points. Martin Gladwin played consistently and posted 12 points.

In a shoot-out Wildcats who led at every break defeated Magic by 8 points.

Wildcats Max Scott played a top match inside the paint , rebounding strongly and he hit 19 points. Matt Stock played well and shot well from the outside and he posted a top score of 20 points. Isabelle Bohnsack got Saints away to a fine start and she played well posting 13 points. Lucy Earl competed strongly and pocketed 21 points. Kaya Angus used the ball effectively and posted 10 points. Meg Earl collected many boards and chipped in with 5 points.

Pistons Carin Kappler played with good pace and intensity and posted a top score of 19 points. Jennifer Taylor defended well and rebounded well. Sharon Phillips and Kaelee Cannin played honest games and hit 6 points each.

Magic were able to hold out a fast-finishing Lakers securing a 3 point win.

Saints Mitchell Kelton was in excellent touch and he posted a top score of 30 points. Tom Cleggett played very well and hit 16 points. Sam Dunbar chipped in with 6 points.

Pistons 57 d Lakers '1' 22

Its been a long time since Pistons opened their season with two consecutive wins. They outplayed and comfortably defeated Lakers '1' by 35 points.

Pistons played a fine team game with Rob Reichmann leading the way with a strong defensive and rebounding game and he posted a game-high 17 points. Ben Kelly was active and effective in the stripe and he finished with 14 points. James Hunt played with purpose and scored 9 points. Daniel Armon played an honest game finishing with 7 points.

Lakers '2' 66 d Magic 51

Lakers '2' grand finalists last year have started the season well posting a good win over Magic by 15 points.

Lakers best was Dylan Mason who collected most their boards and posted 15 points. Patrick Jonczyk got better the longer the game went and hit a game-high 17 points. Reece Kleing 12 points and Alex Horrocks 10 points were consistent performers and good users of the ball.

For Magic Luke Giddings shared the ball well and played well posting a top score of 16 points. Stuart Fahey 12 points and Sam Greer 10 points made good decisions with the ball. Neil Silvestri played well scoring 9 points.

In a high standard match Magic got away to a flier with a 19 point to 3 first term setting up their 2 poiGnt victory. Saints won the final three quarters but came up short.

Magic's Madi Round was in fine form and she posted a top score of 22 points. Amy Kerr played positively and shot well finishing with 11 points. Abby Bricknell played a rock solid game scoring 6 points. Grace McDonald defended well.

Saints Lucy Earl played a good rebounding game and posted a game-high 22 points. Bronnie Nicholls played a great defensive game , rebounded strongly and finished with 6 points. Dani Brown passed well and finished with 7 points. Chelsea Giles used the ball well.

Wildcats 47 d Lakers 28

Wildcats were sharp from the outset scoring 15 points to 7 in the opening stanza and then followed up with 15 point to 3 second term. Lakers won the last quarter but Wildcats were too good winning by 19 points.

Wildcats tall Ashlyn Menz played a very good match collecting many rebounds and she scored a game-high 15 points. Caitlin Rose worked hard on the boards and inside the keyway scoring 10 points. Jasmine Walker played very well and scored 10 points. Brooke Basham controlled the point and hit 9 points.
