Aust U20 & Ivor Burge Champs EARLY Report Day 7

Victoria Metro has taken the gold medal in both men’s and women’s divisions of the Australian Ivor Burge Basketball Championships being held in conjunction with the Australian under 20 men’s and women’s championships at Launceston’s Elphin Sports Centre.

 

In the Ivor Burge men’s division, Victoria defeated Queensland 78-43 while in the women’s division, Victoria defeated Queensland 78-45.

 

The Tasmanian Ivor Burge men’s team played ACT for 5th place, eventually going down 72-76 to finish in sixth place.  Jordy Blizzard topped the scoring list for Tasmania with 18 points while Dylan Pace, Josh Cleary and Bruce Stanley all posted 16.

 

The gold medal under 20 games will be decided later in the evening.

  • (Playoff for 5-6) WA 79 d ACT 61

  • (Playoff for 5-6) Qld 69 d ACT 40
