Madeleine White involved in car accident

Geelong Supercats SEABL Women’s player Madeleine White is recovering at the Alfred hospital in Melbourne after being involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon.

White had just yesterday re-signed with the Geelong Supercats SEABL women’s team for 2013, after joining the team in 2012 from the Warrnambool Mermaids. An announcement on her re-signing with the team was expected to be made later this week, but both Madeleine and Coach Paul O’Brien have high hopes that she will still be suiting up for the team for the first SEABL game in  March 2013.

“I’ve seen Madeleine today and she’s obviously very shaken up and has to take her time with her recovery. But she is determined to play and we fully expect that she will. She’s a tough competitor and will be taking her recovery very seriously in order to get back to what she loves – playing basketball.”

The Geelong Supercats would like to send their best wishes to Madeleine as she recovers from her accident and will be keeping supporters updated on her progress.
