Congratulations Tom :)

This note is a follow-up to my recent message advising that Tom had been nominated for the prestigious title of Children’s Coach of the Year at the UK Coaching Awards 2012.

Well, well – he’s only gone and Won it! As you can see from the photo attached to this article (photograph courtesy of sports coach UK), Tom put on his Glad rags to accept the award from HRH the Princess Royal.

Tom commented, “It was a very special night and fantastic that volleyball had two nominations with Ashley Trodden also being recognised as one of the top Young Sports Coaches of the Year. I am extremely honoured to receive the award which was presented by HRH Princess Royal. During the evening I also had the chance to speak with my local MP and the Sports Minister Hugh Robertson. It was truly satisfying being able to give our sport further recognition following on from the success of the Games.”
