UEL 1sts

UEL came out strong in the first quarter jumping to a 10-4 lead. University of Westminister (The Dragons) battled back during the quarter to lead 12-10. After a time out called by UEL's coach- Coach Chris, UEL responded and strong defense from Parish and Utku created scoring opportunities on the break and UEL finished the quarter strong.

More offensive possession for UEL allowed McGill and Bennett to heat up from outside the 3 point line to stretch the lead to 34-16. At this point the Dragons had no reply and by half time the score was 49-22.

UEL came out with the same intensity that they had in the second quarter, stretching the lead to 39 points with some strong plays from Naiwo and Bagan. Dragons struggled hard to fight their way back but couldn't hold off the intensity of UEL. When Ashby came down and scored another three the game was officially out of reach for the dragons.

In the final quarter UEL started to lose focus and the dragons scored 6 points on the bounce but strong defensive output from Hayes and Lorde created further opportunities to score for UEL. Simpson kept UEL's score ticking over and with that UEL ran out victors 90-60.

Top scorers: McGill - 22, Ashby - 19
