Family: Married 32 years, 2 daughters (both former Ballarat netballers) and a son who played with Mt. Clear juniors, Buninyong seniors and reserves. 2 grandchildren.

Football Experience: Chelsea YCW from 6 yrs to Ballarat Super-rules at 35 - mainly played in the Nepean & MPFL and had a gallop in a few others too. President Bonbeach FC 1985; Secretary, then President, Prahran Police FC as well as playing coach for 3 years. Playing coach Victoria Police FC at the '87 Australian police champs at Nth. Hobart. President, Mt. Clear JFC, coached Buninyong u/12's in the Golden Plains league. Players advocate 8 years, Buninyong FC.

Other sporting interests:cricket (President, Buninyong CC 2 years) coached junior indoor cricket 7 seasons. Target shooting, surf life saving and a few other bits and pieces.

Professional experience: policeman for 37 years. Secretary of the Police Association 6 years, now Victims of Crime Commissioner for Victoria. 

Sporting Achievements: Winning 3 World Masters Games gold medals in full-bore target shooting. Coaching and playing in premiership football teams. Life membership of Mt. Clear JFC and Prahran Police FC. 

Favourite sporting moment: watching my son win the U/16's premiership and BFL league goal kicking in the one season with Mt. Clear, and a reserve grade footy premiership and a 1st XI cricket premiership with Buninyong.

AFL team supported: the Mighty Hawks, since about 2 yrs of age.

Your five dream dinner guests: Arthur Wellesly, Duke of Wellington; Spike Milligan; General Sir John Monash; Errol Flynn and Queen Elizabeth I. (If they have to still be alive, make it: Leigh Matthews, Rodney Hogg, Billy Connolly, Ross Stevenson and Neil Armstrong).

Why did I join the AFL Goldfields Commission?:football has given me enormous pleasure over many decades and I felt it was time to give a bit back, as best I can.

Where do you see football in the AFL Goldfields region in five years time?: a vibrant and healthy place for footy and netball, where clubs thrive in the best administered region in Victoria.

What excites you about football in the AFL Goldfields Region?: it provides top class country football and netball - it gets better and more professional in its approach, year after year. Kids get far more personalised development than ever before and have greater opportunities than in the past.
