Dear Athlete,

 

Registrations are now open for our HoopSTAR|Pro Development Program. This program underpins USCBC's high performance program that caters for the top tier of athletes within USCBC. The HoopSTAR|Pro is aimed at athletes that would like to further develop their skills from club level to representative level.

 

It is expected that athletes wishing to register for the development program are already playing or have played representative basketball. Also athletes that have the potential and necessary skills to play at the representative level.

 

The athletes will attend a 1.5 hour session per week. The sessions will cover the following topics:

• Athletic Skills
• Technical Skills
• Tactical Skills

 

It is expected that athletes will be motivated to continue to develop their game away from these training sessions.

 

Athletes that excel in this program will be identified and selected to join the HoopSTAR|Elite program, USCBC's High Performance Program.

 

To participate in this program the athlete must demonstrate their commitment to USCBC and their desire to excel to the next level. All athletes entering into this program are required to be an active playing member of the club and will be expected to tryout to play representative basketball for Sunshine Coast Rip in the upcoming Representative Season. As this program is subsidised by the USCBC, players that leave to play representative basketball for another association without trying out for Sunshine Coast Rip will incur the true cost of the program before a clearance will be given.

USCBC will send you payment details once registration is confirmed.
