NTL to Leave Coffs Harbour!

After more than a decade at the Coffs Harbour International Stadium, the National Touch League and it's competitors will find a new home further down the NSW coast from next March.  Meanwhile, plans are under way for a celebration of the 30th anniversary of National Championships with a return to the Gold Coast...where the Nationals started back in 1980.

With the success of hosting the NSW State Cup for many years, Port Macquarie will be the home of the National Touch League in 2009.  While the competition will be as intense as ever, the new venue represents a fresh face for the NTL.

For the Barbarians, it will mean leaving the traditional home of Coffs Harbour, and in particular our hosts at the Aqua Villa - Doug and Sandra - who have looked after the teams for many years.

While the venue has changed, the dates will remain in March for 2009.

The National Board is also looking ahead to 2010, when Touch Football Australia will celebrate 30 years of the National Championships.  There is currently a proposal to return to the Gold Coast where the Nationals started, subject to finding a suitable venue.
