Our HBL competition has now in it's four weeks of competition. Yesterday games were so interesting starting with High School games. The Seventh Day Advetist High School ( Betikama ) boys will be the Team to watch this year competition after coming Third last year. They have a balance team and have not lost a game yet since day one.
Chung Wah School has successfully ended their four weeks of intensive basketball competition. The games were played at 12 midday at their out door basketball court from Monday to Friday.
HO JEWELS is the champion for the GPPOL Basketball competition.
This competition is a mix gender competition which will have two Female and three Male on the court every 4 quarter.

Host organisers have just completed the installation of the official competition basketball court ahead of the Youth Olympic Games that gets underway on 14th August in Singapore. This event marks the debut of FIBA 33, the official 3 on 3 version of basketball.
Oceania will be represented by Australia girls, Vanuatu girls and New Zealand men. Players are aged under 18 and coaches under 35.

Basketball Entertainment Group is formed with the aim of creating an atmosphere for development in basketball. Our plan currently is to create events, fast and exciting to capture and stimulate Basketball players to have the that urgency to be competitive, thus improving their skills and fitness and mainly their athletism.
So our first event which we have already hosted is the 3 on 3 basketball Knock out series 2009 which will run from 31st June 2009 through to December 2009. Other events which will be organized is a 3 point shootout, which will be organized in a date to be finalized.

He is helping their states Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk and Yap further develop their basketball coaches, players, referees and administrators..........................
FIBA Oceania is delighted to continue it's support of basketball in the Solomon Islands with the donation of rubber basketballs for use in the SI Development program. Former president of the Federation, Lawrence Quan, assisted with transporting the balls from Ausralia to Solomons.
On Friday 1st February, the Solomon Islands Junior National Basketball team played a visiting US Navy team. The United States Navy Warship was on a 1 week stop over in Honiara and agreed to play a friendly basketball match.
