Dudley takes out Primary and secondary comp

The Finals of the 1st round of competition in the primary and Secondary schools cricket competition were played on Friday with Dudley cementing its place as the Number 1 Cricketing School in Suva. Dudley took out the primary schools competition when Dudley 2 defeated Dudley 1 by 5 wickets. This was a reversal of their previous encounter when Dudley 1 easily accounted for Dudley 2 by 17 runs. With Dudley Intermediate fielding two teams in the competition and both making it to the final, it shows how much the school and in particular the students have supported the competition. In the secondary schools competition Dudley High defeated John Wesley by 1 run, with Joeli Saulekaleka scoring a match winning 18 runs to seal the victory. Dudley looked like they would loose the game until Joeli and Maika Kaukirewa put on a 29 run 8th wicket partnership.

Cricket Fiji would like to thank Wai Tui Surf, KFC restaurants and Coca-Cola for the fantastic continued support of junior cricket in Fij
