Netball clubs on Rarotonga, held their first election for the Rarotonga Netball Centre’s (RNC) Executive Committee on 8 December 2011. Nominations for positions were of a great calibre, with a balanced mix of experienced administrators/netballers and newcomers standing for positions.
Thank you to all our nominees and congratulations to the following new Executive Committee members:
Many thanks to the RNC working committee for facilitating the Village Road show meetings and driving the establishment of the Rarotonga Netball Centre.more
Last week Luciana Matenga and Maryann Miller were on Atiu recently where the enthusiasm for netball development was overwhelming.
Luci worked with students at Enuamanu school, where she soon discovered that netball had not been played at school for sometime. This was a golden opportunity to teach correct netball skills.
Our call for interested netball coaches to attend our coaching workshop was very popular. We had 18 adults register for the netball coaching workshops with full attendance at all classes. Well done Atiu, this is the best turnout of new coaches at a single workshop in 2011.
Meitaki maata to Air Rarotonga for their ongoing support of netball development in the Outer Islands.more
