Teremoana Hewett, just 15 years of age from the Cook Islands is here in Samoa representing her country in football.
Hewett started playing football at school when she was seven years old and trained at the Cook Islands Football Association Academy (CIFA). In their match against Papua New Guinea, Hewett stated "Wow, it was a very tough game, very challenging".

The XIII South Pacific Games - Samoa 2007 will get off to an explosive start when French-speaking rivals New Caledonia and Tahiti collide in a match that could ultimately decide which team qualifies for the semi-finals. New Caledonia will be battle-hardened after a four-match tour of Australia that included a 5-0 defeat against Hyundai A-League club Central Coast Mariners last week.more

Ten Countries confirmed entries for the 2007 South Pacific Games by the May 27th deadline just passed.

10 mens and a record 9 women's teams will take part this year at the outstanding Samoa Football Headquarters at Faleata.
