The Grand Final had it all - great attack, solid defence, fine weather and the ABC Grandstand radio team broadcasting live across Queensland.more

Preliminary Finals - Grand Finalists Decided

The Devils travelled from Childers to play the Magpies in the A Grade prelim final,a game totally befitting of its importance. Devils led 16-6 at halftime. Magpies fought back to lead 26-20 with 2 minutes to go in normal time. Devils scored & equalised at 26-all sending the match into extra time. Devils scored first in extra time, the Magpies had a try denied in the last minute. Devils won 30-26.more

Semi-Finals Week Two

2014 BRL Minor Premiers Wests Panthers will play in the Grand Final after defeating Easts Magpies in the Qualifying Final. Brothers season came to an end at the hands of the Isis Devils in the Elimination Final. Easts Magpies and Isis Devils will now play for the remaining spot in the 2014 Grand Final.more

Semi-Finals Week One

Easts Magpies winning streak has continued into the Semi-Final rounds with a hard-fought win over Brothers on Saturday night. The tough, close game was one of the best of 2014. In the earlier game, the 2014 season ended for Wallaroos with a 60-8 thrashing by the Isis Devils.more

The Bundaberg Rugby League 2014 Presentation of Awards was held last night at the Railway Hotel. With a good representation from all Clubs, it was another enjoyable evening. Thanks to everyone who attended, particularly those out of town Clubs who travelled to the event.more

Round 18 Results - 16/8/14

Western Suburbs Panthers are the 2014 BRL Minor Premiers. The Panthers defeated Isis Devils in atrocious conditions on Saturday night in the last round of regular fixtures, to claim the title. Easts Magpies again showed their class, trouncing Wallaroos in the other A Grade match. Hervey Bay Seagulls forfeited their match against Brothers. Teams now have a week off before Semi-Finals on 30/8/14.more

Round 17 Results - 9/8/14

Easts Magpies continued their winning run with a comprehensive defeat of Brothers in the early game at Salter Oval on Saturday night. Wests Panthers also had a comfortable win over the visiting Wallaroos in the main game, while at Childers Showgrounds the Isis Devils easily accounted for a depleted Hervey Bay Seagulls.more

Round 16 Results - 2-3/8/14

Brothers revenged their defeat a few weeks ago by defeating a determined Isis in the main game at Salter Oval on Sunday. In the earlier game Easts young guns again fired and won a tight encounter over Wests. Wallaroos easily accounted for Hervey Bay Seagulls at Eskdale Park on Saturday night.more

Round 15 Results - 26-27/7/14

The BRL A Grade ladder is crammed after the weekend's results, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to predict the final positions with only 3 fixture rounds remaining. Brothers returned to the winner's list with a good win over the Seagulls at Stafford Park, Easts thumped Wallaroos, and Isis surprised everyone with a convincing win over Wests.more

Round 14 Results - 19-20/7/14

Big scores were the feature of Round 14. The final score in the clash of the ladder leaders was surprising, with Wests Panthers comfortably defeating Brothers. Both Easts Magpies and Isis Devils have continued their winning form, with the Magpies belting Hervey Bay Seagulls, and the Isis Devils enjoying another great win at home against Wallaroos.more

Round 13 Results - 12-13/7/14

Easts Magpies young guns continue to prove their worth in A Grade, their enthusiasm and commitment rewarded with a great win over Brothers in the main game at Salter Oval on Sunday. On Saturday at Eskdale Park, Wallaroos were too strong for Hervey Bay Seagulls and recorded another valuable win. Wests Panthers are now ladder leaders with five fixture rounds remaining before the semi-finals.more

Round 12 Results - 5-6/7/14

The Battle of the ladder leaders didn't disappoint when Brothers met Wests Panthers in the main game at Salter Oval on Sunday afternoon. The exciting game ended in a 32-all draw. At Stafford Park on Saturday night, the Isis Devils continued their winning run to defeat the Seagulls. Wallaroos were too strong for Waves Tigers.more

The Isis Devils were on fire in front of their home crowd at The Furnace on Saturday night, when they defeated competition leaders Brothers. At Salter Oval on Sunday, Easts Magpies defeated Waves Tigers, and Wests Panthers bounced back to outclass the Hervey Bay Seagulls.more

The Easts Magpies young brigade showed great enthusiasm and courage to grab a narrow win over the Isis Devils in the main game at Salter Oval on Sunday. In the earlier game, Brothers easily accounted for Waves Tigers and stretched their ladder lead over Wests Panthers who went down to Wallaroos at Eskdale Park on Saturday night.more

Round Eight Results - Sat 31/5/214

The last of the Saturday night games at Salter Oval saw predictable results with ladder leaders Brothers and Wests both winning their A Grade matches. In what is considered the upset of the round, the Isis Devils made the most of playing at home at "The Furnace", defeating Wallaroos in a tough encounter.more

Round Seven Results - Sat 24/5 & Sun 25/5/14

Two entertaining games at Salter Oval on Saturday night with expected outcomes, but both eventual winners Wests and Brothers had to fight hard for their victories. Wallaroos weren't affected by a two week break and obviously relished playing at home. Roos never let the visiting Easts team into the game and completely dominated the match at Eskdale Park.more

Hervey Bay caused the upset of the Round, defeating reigning premiers Wests at Stafford Park. Both teams were without key players due to injury but the Seagulls fought back from a half-time deficit to win comfortably. At Salter Oval, Easts had to dig deep to beat a determined Waves, and Brothers scored in the last minute to defeat Isis who led for most of the second half.more

Bears Brave at 47th Battalion

The Bundaberg Bears played above expectations at the 47th Battalion Trophy carnival held this weekend in Gladstone. Following the loss due to injury of 7 players originally named in the A Grade squad, the team that took the field did Bundaberg proud. The Bears won their 3 Pool games to put them into the Final against Toowoomba but the Clydesdales were too strong winning 38-4. Full Game results.more

Round Five Results - Sat 3/5/14

Brothers gained some revenge in the rematch of the 2013 Grand Final, defeating Wests in a close game. The score see-sawed throughout until Brothers scored two late tries to seal the victory. Wallaroos were too strong for Waves Tigers in the early match. At the Childers Showground, Isis Devils had a convincing win over Hervey Bay Seagulls.more

Rep Squads Named for 47th Battalion Carnival

Bundaberg Rep Squads for A Grade, Under 20 and Women have been selected for the 47th Battalion Carnival to be held in Gladstone on 10th and 11th May.more

Round Four Results - Fri 25/4/14 and Sat 26/4/14

Close A Grade games were the feature of Round Four, with all three games decided in the final minutes. A good crowd on Anzac Day at Eskdale Park Maryborough saw matches in all grades, culminating with the entertaining A Grade clash between Wallaroos and Brothers. Then, two very tight A Grade clashes on Saturday night at Salter Oval, wrapped up a good round of Bundy Rugby League.more

Round Three Results - Sat 12/04/14

Defending 2013 Premiers Wests Panthers remain undefeated after Round 3. Brothers also recorded their second win (after the first round bye), and Hervey Bay Seagulls had success at home with the first away games for 2014 played at Stafford Park.more

Round Two Results - Sat 05/04/2014

Another Triple-Header at Salter Oval on Saturday night for Round Two of the 2014 BRL Premiership. Last season's A Grade Premiers, Wests Panthers are showing good early form and have won both their matches.more

Hot Start to Season 2014

Bundy Rugby League kicked off with an A Grade and Reserve Grade Triple Header at Salter Oval in oppressive conditions. The fields were in great condition considering the heavy rain which had fallen on Thursday night, but the players are to be commended for playing some great league in the terrible humidity.more
