TIGERS FC STARTING TO CLICK
It was their Round 4 draw against Belconnen United Football Club that kicked Tigers FC into gear.
A team meeting was held to assess their current form and from there, the boys have been firing.
“The last few weeks, the results have been favourable, the boys are starting to play with a bit more confidence and the results are starting to show,” Head Coach Ryan Grogan said.
“The Weston Molonglo game a few weeks ago was the first time we really opened up and put the foot down, and that led into the Olympic and West Canberra Wanderers games.
And then to top it all off, the Tigers clinched a heart wrenching 1-0 victory over NPL2 side Yoogali SC on Wednesday, in the 91st minute.
“I’ve definitely added more grey hair to my head after that game, but at the same time the result is the result and we’re happy to have made it to the final,” Grogan said.
This weekend, they’re taking on potential FFA Cup Final contenders, the Monaro Panthers.
“What’s advantageous for us, is we have Monaro this week and then Croatia in the NPL next week so we get a look at either side heading into the Cup final,” Grogan said.
The Tigers host Monaro at Nijong Oval on Sunday.
“We’re confident. Monaro is a strong side and they have a great coach, we know what to expect.
“We know the ladder probably doesn’t reflect the quality that’s in that side so we’re looking forward to it and looking forward to welcoming them to Cooma.”
