Broadmeadow Magic took advantage of all of the other four matches being postponed by jumping to outright first in the PS4 National Premier Leagues with a 4-1 win against Edgeworth on Friday night.

They entered the match on the back of a dominant 5-1 win over Maitland, whereas the Eagles were looking to regain their winning form after losing to Hamilton in Round 2.

The sides went into half time at 1-1. Dino Fajkovic opened the scoring for Magic, then Josh Evans equalised with a header.

A second half double to Kale Bradbury, and a penalty converted by Peter Haynes sealed the 4-1 win for the side from Magic Park, ensuring they remain at the top of the table for at least another week.

Edgeworth will be without Ayden Brice next weekend as he was sent off for the second time this year in the second half.

The loss sees Edgeworth remain in fifth spot.

In Round 4 Edgeworth host another Friday night match, this time welcoming Maitland. Magic returns home to take on Adamstown Rosebud on Sunday.
