Glenn Wansbrough Celebrating 150 games

Glenn Wansbrough will celebrate his 150th Big V game this weekend.

No doubt plenty of Breakers fans will be in the stands to cheer him on.
Wansbrough returned to the Breakers this season after a stint in Division 1 with Southern Peninsula and quickly established his spot in the Breakers line up, returning multiple doubledoubles and becoming a fixture inside the paint and off the boards.
Glenn’s highlights with the Breakers include captaining the Youth league team in 2011 and winning the club MVP, and also winning and All Star Five spot at forward at that year’s Big V awards night.

“Glenn is one of the hardest working players I have coached, his work ethic at either end of the floor is unquestionable,” said former Breakers Youth coach Darren Gilbert.
It’s a sentiment echoed by current Senior coach Mark Beckett – “Glenn’s not a prolific scorerer and isn’t one of our tallest players, but he’s always in there doing the heavy work, giving off an assist, setting screens, pulling down boards or diving on the ball, dishing it out to a teammate and that makes him one of our most efficient players week in, week out.”

Glenn’s dedication extends to the junior program as well where he continues to coach his junior junior team and give back to the club.
