Despite 20 points separating Belconnen and Tuggeranong on the ladder, these sides could find themselves playing finals footy against each other in a fortnight’s time, making this a highly anticipated match.

The third placed Magpies will go into the game as heavy favourites, having beaten fourth placed Tuggeranong 20.17 (137) to 10.3 (63) last time they met.
The Hawks will have the fresher legs after coming off a bye, but will still be coming to terms with their shock one-point loss to last placed Gungahlin two weeks ago.
The side will be desperate to put in an effort worth being proud of, especially against a strong opposition.
Although there’s a slim possibility of the Hawks losing their place within the top four, the stakes for Belconnen are much higher.
The battle for second place couldn’t be tighter as they currently sit behind Queanbeyan by less than one percent.
If they hope to earn a second chance in the finals, their aim this weekend won’t be just to win, but to win big.
That task will be more difficult now than it was earlier in the season due to the loss of their leading goal-scorer, Chris York, to injury.
Extra responsibility will now be on the shoulders of the Belconnen forward line as they restructure and look to kick a percentage boosting score without their 200 game spearhead.
The Nest will host its first match in more than two months this Saturday, with the first bounce being at 2:15.
