KCC training program

The course runs in 3 days, conducting 2 days for theory session and a practical session on the third day. There were 20+ people who were attended the course and completely succeeded in three days.  During the course NBDO also perform the evaluation work in order to identify confident referees who will received a FIBA Oceania level 0 referee certificate.  These people will be the KCC top officials who will expected to officiate games in the upcoming grand opening 29th Nov.   In related with the KCC program KBF is also part of its development work to increase the number of officials especially in future to become the top referees to officiate in any event organized by the federation.  The federation hopes that in order to officiate in upper level these people will attend further trainings organised by FIBA Oceania 2014 to complete the level 1 course to enable them to officiate in National event, tournament, leagues.

Therefore, the NBDO discussed with the Deputy Project Officer Mr Bokai about the linkage and partnership between the federation and KCC program in which to work together in further training program to be conducted by the federation not only referee course but to include other courses such as coaching, administration and scorebenching.  The Deputy put in plan that the training will be conducted quarterly before the competition commences.
