This weekend's football all around Australia will gather and show support for the third team that takes the field each week, the umpires.
In 2015 NSW/ACT has a growth of umpires of 17% but with the growth of the game more umpires are needed then ever before.
The role that each of you play on weekends to ensure each match is played in safe and fair manner should never be underestimated.
Over the course of the weekend community Leagues and Clubs have been encouraged to undertake various activities to show their support for the role you play.
Meanwhile at the GWS Giants v Gold Coast Suns game 30 community umpires will march around Spotless Stadium and then provide a guard of honour for the AFL umpires, four first year umpires from the Central Coast have the honour to walk onto the field with the AFL Umpires.
