The Sapphire Coast AFL Umpires Association has appointed Anthony Croke to the role of Umpires Coach for the 2017 season.
Anthony has recently moved into the region late in 2016, having relocated from Victoria the home of football.
Croke joins the Sapphire Coast AFL with a proud history and involvement in umpire coaching from the Victorian Country landscape. Until the completion of this season, Croke has been Head Coach of two umpiring groups, the North Central Umpires group and more recently the Wimmera Football League Umpires group, a group he was employed to commence.
Croke will replace ACT/SC Umpire Coordinator Cameron Black in 2017 after Black was appointed as interim coach in 2016.
'Anthony (Croke) comes to us with a great deal of experience in managing and building an umpire base for the North Central Umpires and also the Wimmera FL. Anthony will be a great adition to the league and we look forward to the great work he will do in conjunction with Cameron Black for the league'. Football Operations Coordinator Jarrod Moore noted.
