BECOME AN ILLAWARRA JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE CENTURION
Illawarra Rugby League has concluded successful Centenary Celebrations. Now the focus turns to ensuring the district’s Junior Rugby League is supported in the future.
Surplus funds from the centenary campaign will be dedicated to establish a CENTURIONS CLUB, to ensure Illawarra remains the “Nursery of Champions”. A CENTURIONS WALL is being established behind the Centenary Sculpture, located at the northern entrance to the new western grandstand at WIN Stadium, Wollongong. The sculpture and the Centurion Wall will be on permanent public display.
This invitation is extended to . . . INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, BUSINESSES (large or small) and PAST PLAYERS to become: ILLAWARRA JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE CENTURIONS for a ONE-OFF CONTRIBUTION of $1,000. One (1) line is made available for each contribution. This support will assist the on-going future of Junior Rugby League competitions in Illawarra, which in some age groups extends from Helensburgh to Bateman’s Bay.
A University of Wollongong scholarship will be established and awarded annually to a qualified Illawarra Junior League player. This will be the Colin Purcell Centurion Scholarship.
In addition to media and public acknowledgement for support to the youth of Illawarra, Centurions will receive the following benefits:
• Centurion club membership badge
• Regular reports on the progress of Illawarra Junior Rugby League competitions – Under 6’s to 16’s – as well as team and individual performances. This will enable members to track our next generation of Dragons first graders and future internationals.
• Guest invitations, with hospitality; to attend the annual Illawarra Junior Rugby League grand final day.
• Recognition on Illawarra Rugby League website and publications. If you are interested in becoming a member of this unique opportunity please complete the attached application form.
