Pre-season News Seniors:
Our first home game under lights in round one is really what we are all looking forward to! After a busy off-season, the Falcons are looking forward to getting this year underway. With capital works complete at our new facility, many key additions to the senior list, a successful camp to Lorne and some terrific spirit amongst our group; we are all looking forward to a big 2014 season. Both the playing group and coaching group look revitalized with the new environment, game style and personnel this year. The lads are having fun and have some terrific drive for success. The group has been demanding some really high standards of each other on the track and through our practice match phase.
Our Under 18 group looks to have some exciting talent coming through coupled with our junior ranks that are going from strength to strength. For the senior teams, Round 1 will see the Falcons host Sanctuary Lakes on Saturday 5 April under lights! We welcome the ‘Green and Gold’ faithful and all local footy punters as we take flight under lights at our new home!
Junior News:
The junior section of the club is experiencing strong numbers across the board in 2014 and continues to provide the basis of senior players for future years to come. The club has recruited 4 new coaches who bring great enthusiasm and experience in junior coaching so many of our junior teams will have a fresh look to them this season and of course it all starts with our Auskickers who are setting new benchmarks in terms of numbers. Our youth girls continue to go from strength to strength with many new girls joining the team this year and they are set for another great season. There has been a real buzz around the Vales this preseason with the move to new facilities, the official opening last weekend and anticipation for a successful year at the Nest.
