The AFL Victoria TAC Cup competition Player Rules state that TAC Cup players must play with the TAC Cup Club with which they are residentially bound.
According to the Player Rules, unless permission is given by the AFL Victoria Chief Executive Officer to the contrary, players who change residence to a new Region must play with their new residentially determined club.
AFL Victoria’s Policy on TAC Cup players (i.e. players who have played in the TAC Cup Competition) who shift residence is as follows:-
The player’s current TAC Cup Region Manager MUST advise the Region Manager of the Region into which the player is shifting that the player is changing residence. The AFL Victoria Football Operations Manager must also be notified.
If the player and his current TAC Cup Club desire that the player keep playing with his current club, the player may apply to the AFL Victoria Chief Executive Officer for permission to do so.
NOTE: The above only applies for players who have played in the TAC Cup. All other players are bound by residency regulations, unless permission is granted for them to change clubs by the AFL Victoria Chief Executive Officer.
