The chance for 10 new women to take part in the second AFL Women’s Exhibition match between Western Bulldogs and Melbourne will come to fruition at a ‘mini draft’ this Wednesday at AFL House.
Late last week both clubs announced rotations before the August 16 rematch at Etihad Stadium, with six VWFL players part of the 10 changes made.
Western Bulldogs changes included Phoebe McWilliams (St Kilda Sharks Women's Football Club), Hannah Scott (Eastern Devils), Maddy Keryk (Melbourne University) and Pepa Randall (St Kilda Sharks), while Melbourne has rotate the injured Cecilia McIntosh (Melbourne University) and Brooke Whyte (Melbourne University), along with No.2 draft pick Danielle Goding.
The new draftees will be revealed at midday Wednesday (July 22) in a special podcast hosted by Nat Edwards, and featuring Melbourne skipper Daisy Pearce and AFL Victoria's Chyloe Kurdas.
Melbourne continued its unbeaten run in the women’s games earlier this year, defeating Western Bulldogs by eight points.
