Greenhouse Tavern Auskick Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Steve and Toni Webb from the Coffs Swans Auskick Centre who claimed the final Greenhouse Tavern Auskick Volunteer of the Month award.

Steve and Toni are new to the Coffs Coast and are owners of Funky Fish Fish and chips on the highway. At the start of the season our Auskick coordinator had taken ill and could not fulfil this role and Toni who was is an avid footy fan stepped into this role at short notice.

Toni has never coached or instructed kids in AFL but has a background in learn to swim and has used her friendly and kind nature to involve all the kids in our small program.

Steve came along on match days to “help out” and he has now found himself our key man on the park with the Auskickers, now that he has organised someone to look after the shop on Sunday mornings!!

Both Steve and Toni are very passionate Collingwood and Carlton supporters (I’d love to be a fly on the wall during those games in their household) and they bring that passion to our Club and program.

They offer a constant presence at games and mid week training which is vital in promoting the game to new comers. They are engaging and enjoyable to be around and we look forward to keeping them onboard as part of our Club for many years to come.
