The AFL North Coast senior competition kicks off on Saturday April 13th.
The first round sees the local derby between Port Macquarie and Camden Haven at Wayne Richards Park Port Macquarie. Another local derby is the clash between last seasons runners up Sawtell and North Coffs. Both clubs have been rumoured to recruited well in the off season so we are sure this match at Leisure Park will be a thriller. The Coffs Swans make the trek to Ellem Oval to take on the daunting reigning premiers of the past two seasons, Grafton Tigers.
The AFL North Coast junior competition starts the last Sunday of the School holidays Sunday April 28th. From all reports there is quite a few kids who are sick of kicking the footy at training and can't wait to get the season underway. The talent running around in our junior ranks has to be seen to be believed and we urge all AFL followers to get down to a game on a Sunday morning and support the local youngsters.
Lets hope all the Clubs preparations and planning comes off and everyone has a sucessfull season.
