AFL legend Adam Goodes is helping to shape the next generation of Indigenous footballers from NSW/ACT with the creation of the Adam Goodes Talent Program.
The inaugural intake of the Adam Goodes Talent Program saw 60 young Indigenous boys from across NSW and the ACT travel to Sydney for their first camp at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence in Redfern
Nearly twenty of the inaugural intake reside in Northern NSW with 6 of the players coming from Coffs Harbour and a dozen from the Macleay Valley. It was a huge weekend for all the kids but they all thoroughly enjoyed it particularly meeting Adam and Michael "Magic" O'Loughlin. The boys also got to see the match on Saturday night between the Swans and Magpies live at ANZ Stadium.
A HUGE thank you to Kevin and Ronda from the Macleay Valley Eagles who chaperoned the players down to Sydney, they are truly amazing volunteers for our great game.
