A COFFS Harbour teenager has been selected in the initial World Team squad to play in the 2014 NAB AFL Under -16 National Championships.
Kaman Malou impressed selectors at the recent Australia Post All Nations Cup held in Coffs Harbour last month.
The Bishop Druitt College student is one of only three players to be selected in the squad.
Currently producing some outstanding times and results in cross country running, Kaman now has an eye on making the final team to play on the Gold Coast during the July school holidays.
The final World Squad will be announced in late June, following further trials across the nation to add to the preliminary squad.
To be eligible for the World Team, players or their parents must be from emerging communities, speak English as a second language, and aged 15 or 16.
