The information and coaching session, hosted by Sydney & Northern NSW Club Development Officer, Chris Mintern, was aimed at teaching club officials how to enter scores and results onto the AFL North Coast website, a method that is much easier and less laborious than what was done in the past.
Through Footyweb, clubs can post a squad on their website, put together team sheets and enter in results on a quarter-by-quarter basis in their own time.
The main benefit of this method is that results will be posted quicker, allowing users of the website to check the results that night, who kicked the goals and who were the best players. Consequently, the publicity officer and the secretary will not have to chase up results with the clubs, instead like all users, they can log-on to the AFL North Coast website and obtain all the information they require from there.
Clubs were enthusiastic about this method and see this as a way of going forward, something that is compulsory in all leagues across the state.
