Coffs Swans V North Coffs at Fitzroy Oval
Under 7 – In a tough encounter between the Roos and the Swans. For the Swans Jacob stood up to the attack with some top marks and kicks. Brianna worked hard in the centre. Thomas played well up forward with a few shots at goal. Mitchell was tough in the centre and Sam helped out. For the Roos award winners were Cody Polkinghorne, James Dixon and Cooper.
Under 10 – An excellent game with ball rapidly moving from end to end. For the Swans Jacob Sincock, Patrick Collins, Tyrone Jones, Lachlan Moran and Joshua Oliver stand out players. Awards to Jaben Jones, Matt Farley, Matt Hannigan, Jacob Hill and Billy Reynolds. For the Roos award winner were Miles McCallum, Darcy Ryan, Christian Christensen and Jacob Lockley. Other good players were Grace Homan, Ty Close, Samuel O’Donnell and Peter Guise.
Under 12 – North Coffs 7-5-47 to Coffs Swans 1-0-6
North Coffs won a competitive match that was closer than the score indicated. For the Roos in a another great team effort best players were Isaac Rowe, Patrick Wilson, Machut Machut, Lachlan Kelly, Riley Channells, James Buckley and Blayke Sykes. Karly Amos, Aiden Engel and Ieasha Milne also had good games. For the Swans award winners were Matt Farley, Luke Symons, Kieren Bellemore and Oscar Sweeney. Other good players were Jacob Sincock, Harry Phillips, Oscar Sweeney, Jai Lane, Hayden and Caleb.
Under 14 – Coffs Swans 9-11-65 to North Coffs 5-7-37
A closely fought match with the Swans proving more consistent across the four quarters. Best players for the Swans were Lewis Bear and Jacob Corlis, well supported by Jai Lane, Damien Attwood and Matt Morton. The Roos tried hard all day and win is not far away when a few players return. Scorers on the day were Nick Bailey, Josh Bullivant, Mitchell hall, Brandon Kelly, James King and Joseph Whalan.
Under 16 – Coffs Swans 16-8-104 to North Coffs 2-2-14
Coffs Swans proved too strong for an undermanned Roos side. After an even first quarter the Swans switched into top gear and in a strong team performance ran away with the match. For the Swans best players were Ashley Munro-Sheehan, Bryn Jenke (6 goals) Reid whose pace and Tyler Clayton. The Roos tried hard all day with best players Martin Kelleher, Jake Latham, Ryan Close, Nick Bullivant. Brandt Phillips and Barton McCann.
Bellingen/Nambucca V Sawtell Saints at Macksville Park, Macksville
Under 7 - All the players had fun and enjoyed further developing their footy skills. For the Saints goals were kicked by Emmett, Cody, Angus, Hamish, Dalton, Damon and Bayne.
Under 10 – The Lions and the Saints produced an entertaining game for the crowd. The Saints played as a team, supporting each other and executing plenty of handballs and long kicks. Isaac, Dylan, Jeremy (goal), Jai (goal) and Billy all played very well as did Daniel (goal), Oscar (goal), Danny (goal) and Hunter by demonstrating a display of quick handballs and excellent running. Connor also scored a terrific goal.
Under 12 – Sawtell Saints defeated Bellingen/Nambucca
Tin a great team effort the on ball players for the Saints proved the difference on the day by running the ball forward on many occasions giving the Saints forwards numerous chances. The fundamental skills including shepherding and tackling were excellent throughout the game.Awards for the Saints went to Ryan McGill and Isaac Duncan who also kicked a goal. Other goal scorers included Sam ( 3), Nathan, Elliot, Judd (2) with Jordan and Nick kicking a goal each.
Under 14 – Sawtell Saints defeated Bellingen/Nambucca
The Saints kept their undefeated record in tact with a third straight win. The Saints shared the ball around all players with many new team members gaining confidence in their marking, kicking and tackling. Awards for the Saints went to Brad Smith and Blake Bollen (goal). Goals were also kicked by Tristan Pennant, Jake Saunders, Ben Christensen, Jake Longhurst, Ryan Buck, Cameron Bone, Angus Burkitt and Patrick Gillingham.
