DBC Tribunal - Justin Mitchell (Saints)

A Tribunal Hearing was held on March 25th 2014 over two charges against a Mr Justin Mitchell, from Saints, following their DBC Game on March 18th vs Trojan Ducks at Mike Barnett Sports Complex.

The charges were:

  1. Used abusive, threatening, obscene language and/or signs
  2. Acted in an Unsportsmanlike manner in the stadium and/or its surrounds.

Mr Mitchell plead GUILTY to both charges.

The subsequent penalty was handed down:

  • A total of 16 weeks suspension from all Basketball WA Affiliated Competitions, effective from the 25/3/2014
  • SUSPENDED SENTENCE of 2 weeks which will be in effect for a period of 12 months from 25/3/2014 - 25/3/2015

The Rockingham Flames would like to remind ALL DBC players that any form of abuse towards officials, in particular Referees, or other players will not be tolerated in the future.
