Spring Development is back at CHBA in Term 4

CHBA will be kicking off their 2015 Spring Development Program in the week commencing Tuesday 13th October.
The Spring Development Program is open to all members of the association who are interested in learning more about our rep program pathway, whilst learning basic fundamentals and great ball skills with our quality coaches. Players who are looking to trial for CHBA for the 2016 Rep season are strongly encouraged to attend, as the 2016 Head coaches will be part of the program.
This year, CHBA have secured the services of 2 development officers who will be running the Spring Program, along with other development duties.

Robert Linton and Yusuf Qaafow will be working with CHBA for all of term 4 and will be spearheading the Spring Program.

Robert Linton is a Coffs Harbour local who has been away for the last couple of years studying in Melbourne and playing SEABL with Knox Raiders and Frankston Blues. Robert has previously worked as a development officer for CHBA and was hugely popular with kids and parents alike for his can do attitude and extensive basketball knowledge.

Yusuf Qaafow was born in Somalia, East Africa but now calls Australia home. He is the current captain of the Somali National Team and has been playing SEABL in QLD with the Brisbane Spartans. From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the Melbourne Tigers NBL team. He has also been a 2 time State Champ in the U20’s team, 2 time Under 19 Victorian School boys team MVP, 2 time member of the Allstar 5 for the  Australian School Boys Team. He has also played college basketball in America at Oakton Community College.

With the experience these 2 men bring, the Spring Development program will be a program not to miss.
The cost for the program is $80 per person for the 8 week program. Registration can be done in several ways. Our preferred method is through the online registration portal on the CHBA website.
