Are you behaving appropriately?

The General Manager recently had a meeting with an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant who identified some of the matters we should pay attention to when conducting our activities.

You woulld be aware that as a tenant in the building operated by someone else, there are some matters to which we need to pay attention and others which we need to direct to the attention of the landlord.

One of the matters which is entirely our responsibility is ensuring that players, coaches, parents and spectators and referees behave appropriately when taking part in our activities.

It is for this reason, several weeks ago we put together and circualted our "Codes of Behaviour" document and have posted it to our noticeboards.

In case you did not get one, or perhaps need reminding of the philosophy behind the running of our competitions, we have attached (below) the "Codes" for your information and action.

Thanks to the great majority of players, coaches, referees, parents and spectators who know that at the end of the day it's just a game, which you and the other people participating do for fun, for some exercise and to mix with other like minded people.

If you have an issue with a referee in our High School or Primary School competitions, please seek out and speak with our Referee Supervisor or Competition Supervisor - both of whom can be found in distinctive CHBA uniforms on Friday and Saturday competitions.

You would know from experience that a calm discussion results in more effective communication than barked 'advice'.

We respect your right to voice your opinion and encourage you to do so in a calm and courteous way.

Enjoy your game (and do your best to make sure others enjoy theirs at the same time).
