Jury still out on Coffs State League teams for 2015

A meeting called recently to gauge interest from players, coaches and supporters for State League Programs from Coffs Harbour in 2015, proved inconclusive.

While CHBA have until February next year to name their actual squads for a 2015 competition, the association is required to indicate before the end of this month if it will be fielding teams in the men's and women's competitions.

While the Suns achieved on court success with its women's program in 2014, capturing its third title in three years, behind the scenes the program across both men and women was not as successful.

Neither program met its budget with players in both teams failing to honour their financial commitments to the program and the men failing to gel as united team.

The association has already decided that because of the off-court failure of its imports, it will not be going down that track in 2015.

There are some representatives of both the men's and women's team working feverishly behind the scenes to ensure there is enough interest to put the Suns back on the State League Court in 2015, but the clock is clicking down fast.
